Happy to see this place spring back after a fire during covid if I recall correctly... Went for the Dinner Buffet. They have a lunch buffet every day I think. The dinner buffet is Friday through Sunday. Tasty food, seemed like good quality ingredients. With a nice variety of dishes. There was a lot of available seating and the place wasn't busy (2 other tables in use), which is why the service was kinda shockingly bad (there was a high staff to guest ratio). I think it might have been just bad luck, or maybe just the person responsible doesn't understand buffet service expectations. In my opinion, even at a buffet service is important. Plus it's an opportunity for the staff to earn tips to share with the kitchen etc. It would take much effort to really elevate the experience. Clearing the plates, bringing more water, asking if I wanted anything else to drink... I just didn't feel the care you want to feel eating out somewhere. Hope the owner / manager sees. Will come back sometime and try again to see if it's a...

I visited this place on Thursday afternoon and place was empty. I called in before for my order although I was going to dine in, so I wouldn't waste any time, waiting for the food once I reach the restaurant. The person behind the counter didn't even respond to once I reached the place and finally after asking him he showed me a place to sit down. The person was on a phone call and didn't even ask for a glass of water or provide one. I had to wait another 15 minutes for my lamb biryani and this was additional to the 15 min heads up I gave them before I left my workplace. During this whole time he was on a phone call and I had to personally walk to the counter again for a glass of water. Finally when the food arrived, there was no raita given and I had to ask that multiple times before I got it. So all in all the food was ok in terms of taste but the service was horrendous and would never recommend anyone to this place ever. I would have understood if they would have been running full but the place was...

Lived in Delta (Surrey-adjacent) for over 2 years and this is hands down the best Indian food I've had in the Lower Mainland - and I've tried a lot of restaurants. We only get take-out so I can't comment on the space, but the food we've gotten has been phenomenal. The lentil soup is incredible - flavourful, creamy yet not thick, delicious hot or cold. Mulligatawny is equally spectacular - even family members who can't handle spicy food devour this soup, because there is so much flavour and complexity that you can't stop eating it :) I also love the pakoras - I've been to so many restaurants that are all thick, heavy batter and unrecognizable vegetables, but all the pakoras here are light and crispy and really flavourful. Practically speaking, delivery is relatively prompt (considering the size of our orders!), they've never made a mistake in the order, and everything is packaged well for travel. Highly...

I recently visited JMK Mahal Restaurant for their lunch buffet, and it was an okay experience. The buffet offered a decent number of dishes, but the quality was hit-or-miss. For appetizers, there were only two options - tandoori chicken and samosa. Unfortunately, the tandoori chicken was dry and not impressive. The main course had two chicken items, and the butter chicken was the highlight - it was flavorful and enjoyable. The vegetable mix was just average, and the rice was good. However, I was disappointed that they ran out of basic salad items like onions and cucumbers by 1:30 PM, and they didn't replenish them even after we asked. This was a letdown, especially since the buffet was supposed to be available until 3 PM. Overall, it was an okay experience, and the price of $15 per person was reasonable. However, I hope they improve their buffet offerings and replenish items more regularly to enhance the dining experience.

I've been wanting to try here since it opened. I finally had the chance today for the lunch buffet. It had a descent decor, seemed a bit outdated but nice. The server was friendly and filled my water promptly throughout my stay. The buffet food selection was a bit limited, but the taste was great! All the curries were very flavourful, and the samosas were well seasoned and had a nice balance unlike other samosas I had in the past that had too much potatoes. The chicken and other vegetable curry toppings were cooked well, and had good texture. All this flavourful experience only cost me $10 + tax. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a good curry or butter chicken fix.
