We just moved to maple ridge and went to the farmers market for the first time in june 7th. I was so disappointed to see live musicians sitting, no playing because the pagoda was monopolized by a dj blasting the loudest rave music at noon on a Saturday. I know its pride month but as a trans person, i just want to go to a little community market without being accosted by rainbow marketing and queer overrepresentation. Just because we're gay doesn't mean we want to be raving all the time. The whole thing was maybe 15 overshopped artisan booths with at most maybe 2 fresh veggie booths and 30 sponsored booths for banks and phone companies... All rainbow coding. This is not what a farmers market should be. Go back to the roots, local farms, fresh foods, support local musicians have a few of them, have face painting. We couldnt spend more than 5 mins there before we were both way too...

Would love to see more vendors, but otherwise, a decent selection of veggies, fruit, crafts etc (some are a tad pricey), sometimes different vendor selection on different days, lots of good shade, extra space around the park area.
