I dont know what to say about this wharf.....it's a wharf. It is wheelchair access to the water I think. There is a turn part way down the ramp to the water that might be outside of the turning radius of a wheelchair, but most likely it's good. It is the closest public access to the Fraser river from the Maple Ridge city center. And the parking is free, but there are very few spots, maybe 8-10 parking spots immediately near the wharf. Quite a variety of people hang out at this wharf, all of them are friendly, some might be homeless and some might be businessmen and women, everyone is there watching the sunset or taking in the view as the Mighty Muddy Fraser river moves things on by. You can fish off of the dock or tie a boat to the dock as you pickup friends or even walk up to the pub which is on the other side of the tracks, but you leave your boat there at your own risk. I've never seen a charge here for mooring a boat for a few hours. It's probably a 40-60 ft dock though there is nowhere here to car launch. I've seen salmon caught here at the right time of year. You can gain access to this wharf from the city center by simply walking to the end of 224th street and through a foot traffic tunnel under...

If that's not your thing it's a good place to read or people watch. There are different events happening at different times of the year, I will see if I can come up with some sort of calendar of happenings there. If you get thirsty or hungry the Billy Miner pub is just...
Read moreA quite spot (unless the train comes thru lol) to enjoy a moment on the Wharf. A fantastic view of the Fraser and corresponding greenery across the river. I have actually seen some people fish from here in the past (salmon) successfully I may add. I enjoy coming here and looking out onto the water. This is a great spot when the weather is nice and the sun is out. At night you can watch...
