If you plan on eating at strEATS Maple Ridge Kitchen save yourself the time and dont. last month we ordered from them was told it would be a 30-45 min wait. we get there at the 45 min mark to pick up and food isint ready yet. Thats fine they said 15 mins more. we wait 15 mins they said another 15 mins. wait that 15 mins they said we are soooo sorry we are slammed it will just be 15 more mins promise. so we tell them okay we will be back and return 30 mins later because we had to run errands. a total of a hour over the time they told us. when we get there they say they are sorry but they ran out of the meat we wanted for our tacos. and apologized. said they would give us coupons for free food for the wait and the mistake. we wait for them to make us the food with new meat. and leave. the food honestly wasent amazing. i thought it might be and all the trouble would be worth it but it was bla. But what was worse was the order was missing food when we got home which made it super annoying, but we were compensated i didint have the energy to go back in and complain. Today i go to redeem my free coupons. give them another chance see if things are different. explain that they messed up the order last time. Place the order for the 5 tacos (that was the coupons they gave us) they take the order we come back to pick up and they tell us sorry they can only redeem one coupon and the rest we would need to pay for. after again explaining to them we got the coupons because they messed up our order the lady brushed us off and told us nothing she could about it she spoke with the manager and the manager agreed. I left there took my coupons and told them to throw the wasted food out in the trash we wouldnt be...

I really wanted to like this place. Their site says they want every guest to have a "blow your mind" experience. Not this time. They have so much potential and a good location right at a busy intersection. First, you advertise fish and fries $3.50 on Tuesdays. OK, a loss-leader, I'll bite. No mention that the fish is $3.50 plus the fries are $3.50. Still a good deal at $7, but not clear in your ads. Next the fish was very good with a light batter. Not sure what species but I assume cod. The fries were awful. They are generic Sysco-type food service, frozen fries. They were properly cooked but super dry and starchy with that typical frozen blandness. The experience could be so heightened by the use of fresh cut fries double cooked in tallow and advertised as "Belgian" fries. They use generic condiments in little packets, further lessening the experience. Switch to a bulk dispenser if you want to use generic ketchup, and put salt and pepper at the tables. The staff were nonplussed by my arrival despite an empty house. I assume neither had any stake in the business nor any interest in food service. I was given only a wooden fork to eat with, no knife, despite asking. Was told they have only forks. Flatware would have been nice. Lastly, the use of canned beverages also lessons the experience. If I eat in I want refills a la five guys, Vera's, etc. I'll try the burger next. We'll see So much potential. They have a full kitchen and could make amazing food if anyone cared for the details. My only concern was the cleanliness. The cook had his mask down under his nose the whole time…I would have preferred no mask at all actually cause he was breathing so hard out his nose……..another man came in without a mask so I don’t understand …………. I stood And watched him cross contaminate touching everything as he went, including his mask , pants , freezer door , knives , fish, handled. Also the actually food I was ordering after he cut with a used knife from other side. A hair net wouldn’t hurt ….. I was so hungry I decided to just hope for the best. As for the food , it was ok. A little expensive for what you get . I had a mango bowl . The shrimps were over cooked and tiny - mostly a lot of batter and wayyyyyy to much sauce. Couldn’t finish it for the amount of sauce …… I’ll probably try again something else on menu before judging too hard …. But cmon guys , with Covid at a all time high …. Let’s keep the cleanliness ...
