I come to this Bake Code a lot and the service today way absolutely brutal. I purchased 9 items including a Japanese Cheese cake slice which was supposed to be the Bite of The Month for $3.5. The worker punched in $4.5 into the register and when I pointed it out she said the price was correct and that she forgot to change the $3.5 price label to $4.5 on the shelf. I then asked her to cancel the cake slice because it wasn’t the advertised price of $3.5. They still also had a photo ad for it on their register.

After that, I used my bake code VIP card for 10% off and also scanned my points cards to use my points as I had a small balance of $3.19 on it.

When I left the store and checked my receipt, I realised that the 10% vip discount was not applied. When I went back to the store, the worker at the front who looked to be the manager knew why I was back and said that the other worker forgot to apply the 10% discount.

After about 5 min she explained that she couldn’t apply both my points and the vip discount (even though no where does it say that you can not use your VIP card and your points balance at the same time) and that instead of owing me money, I owe them money.

Like, what the. They screwed up 2 times, and I came back because they didn’t apply the discount and instead they said I owe them money for their mistake? I mean, if you screw up, you should at least compensate me for wasting my time in coming back not escalating it. These workers need to be trained better as they didn’t seem to know how to apologise and...

You don't see many place in Ontario selling Taiwan and Japanese fusion specialty buns and Bubble tea.

Lay back style cafe design with free WiFi access, comfortable benches with good amount of both natural light and artificial lighting, bg music was not too loud, fit for people whose seek for a place to relax or studies.

Buns are very creative, haven't got a chance to taste it yet but surely sift and tasty. Wish they'll offer more varieties to choose in the future would be nice. We have tried the cheese tart, it was one great desert, full of cheese flavor, texture is quite creamy. The whole tasting experience feels like the cheese is melt in your mouth with a cookie like tart base. Very delicious. I would recommend to share it to your friend, but if you decide to take it all on, it can be a bit too much. The price for the bake product is a bit on a pricy side, but for the stylish Buns like these, I kinda expect it stand on this price range.

For drinks, I will not comment too much. The drink I have, I felt like they are using real ingredients instead of artificial flavor. Tapioca are fresh, soft and chewy. It change my perception of how I feel for the traditional bubble tea. I recommend people to try it with their own liking.

Overall, I recommend people to try if you have the time to chill for a couple hours to kinda get yourself away from your busy...

Ok so this Bake Code/Chatime is inside the 16th and Woodbine plaza (w/ the TnT supermarket and All Star Wings).

I think if we're going based strictly off of quality of the baked goods, the rating would be like a 3 or 3.5 but I'm giving a 4 JUST because, it's one of the ONLY dessert/pastry shops open late which in my eyes is a MASSIVE plus. You would think that a lot of dessert places would open past 8:30 pm since dessert is usually an "after-dinner" type thing but you'd be surprised to find that a lot of shops in the GTA close relatively early (from anywhere between 6:30-8pm) when a lot of ppl are still eating dinner.

My gf loves cake. In fact, I think cake is one of (if not fave) her fave food. Whenever we go out and finish dinner and she's craving cake, Bake Code is one of the only places that is still open. The pastries themselves are avg to above avg I'd say. I think some of their cheesecakes and tiramisu are actually decent! Sometimes you get a one off slice of cake that is a lil drier than usual but I would stay away from the macarons.

Haven't tried the bread, croissants or any of the flaky pastries so I can't attest to those but just based off of hours/availability alone, I'm giving them a boosted score on top of the 3...

The black sesame tofu cheesecake was MOLDED!!! I went first thing in the morning when they opened at 11:30, purchased a few bread items and 2 slices of cake- japanese cheesecake and this black sesame cheesecake. My daughter ate the japanese cheesecake, while I was just about to eat the other and noticed all these weird discolorations and took a closer look just to see MOLD. This clearly means none of their cakes are fresh because I was practically their first customer that day. This means there are mold spores circulating and most likely growing on other products in there too. Absolutely disgusting and unsafe!! Never will I ever visit this store again. On the side note, service was slow, my bubble tea took forever and tasted super watered down as well. I saw the lady bring out new tarts to fill trays on the counter, but they did not change the liner where it was filled with old pastry flakes and crumbs. Who knows how many times they have reused the tray without cleaning!
