Ordered 2 party trays around 2pm for pick up around 6pm. Prices on website are outdated. This place accepts cash only.

Party Tray Sashimi (110 pcs): predominately salmon with white tuna, surf clam, imitation crab, cooked shrimp, unagi. Salmon slices are really thin, about the thickness you would use on sushi, like the segments of meat were practically falling apart Pretty sure I found a 1-inch length of human hair on a piece of salmon, definitely didn't belong to anyone in my family, and some fish scales I don't consider imitation crab, cooked shrimp or unagi to be "sashimi" Unagi was thick and long slices (they cut diagonally) but it was cold and dry (not enough sauce)

Part Tray Sushi & Rolls (110 pcs): variety of rolls (california, tempura/dragon roll, sweet potato tempure roll) and sushi mix of salmon, white tuna, surf clam, unagi, red tuna All the sushi except salmon and unagi had wasabi in it; wish they would have asked if we wanted wasabi in our sushi, the answer would have been no. The wasabi inside the sushi was a different shade of green, it looked to be the colour of mould which was a little off putting. It wasn't the same shade as the balls or container of wasabi we got, maybe reconsider how often you make the wasabi from powder Fish slices for the sushi was even thinner than the ones for sashimi tray, I could see the rice and wasabi through the fish, especially the salmon one Rolls were delicious Their 'spicy mayo sauce' (I assume that's what it is) wasn't very spicy, so it made eating the rolls pretty easy for me and my sister (we don't eat spicy)

For $200 total (again cash only), the value is questionable I suppose. In conclusion: it was nice to try, but (truthfully) will unlikely ever order from here again. This just happened to be the closest place open on a Tuesday, my usual joint (Nichiban Sushi 4 U) is closed...

DO NOT GO HERE! Let me start by saying this is my honest review. I am a regular customer here and I am soooooo surprised this happened to me at this restaurant.

This is what happened...

Yesterday at approximately noon (April 3rd 2019) I decided to go to Sakura sushi on my lunch break as I normally do on Wednesday...I ordered my regular crunchy dynamite roll. As I had gotten through 3 pieces of my sushi rolls I notice one long hair wrapped in one of the sushi and one small hair in another sushi roll. I quickly notified the waitress and she looked at the sushi and hair and was standing there for the longest time looking confused! I asked her why she was just standing there and she responded that she was thinking what to do?! What possibly is there to think about!!!!! Refund the sushi or make another !!!!! I was open to either option as I told her! This was absolutely ridiculous! To make matters worse she was not willing to do either! She made me pay for half the bill! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!. I was in a rush so I ended up paying half the bill but if I had time I would have never paid and they would of definately had to call the cops because I wouldn't of left! This is a public health problem having hair in your food and I will definately be making a report with TORONTO PUBLIN HEALTH!!! So ...unless you want to PAY for HAIR IN YOUR FOOD...I SUGGEST YOU DO...

We came to this sushi place hoping it might be a hidden gem, especially since it had good reviews on Google. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. As soon as we walked in, there was a strong unpleasant smell. The tables felt sticky, the space looked dirty, and even the plates seemed like they hadn’t been properly washed.

Despite the bad first impression, we decided to stay, thinking maybe the food would make up for it. Perhaps the reviews were based on takeout orders. We were the only customers dining in, which was already a red flag. Sadly, the food didn’t help. The sushi wasn’t fresh at all, and the bulgogi was watery. Overall, the food didn’t feel hygienic or well-prepared.

Customer service was also just mediocre. We didn’t feel welcomed when we arrived, and when the food came, the staff just dropped it off without saying a word. It felt like one of those places where you just eat and leave, no warmth, no hospitality.

We left very disappointed and definitely won’t be...

SOY / LEGUME Allergy Friendly: Yes G6PD Deficiency Friendly: Yes Baby Friendly: No Traditional Japanese restaurant that uses sesame oil for tempura ! The owner (also the chef) took time to tell us the ingredients of the batter and food items. Very glad to be able to have tempura made to order. As expected from most traditionally japanese run venues, the sashimi/sushi was also fresh and tasty. We brought our own soy free sauce for dipping. We also skipped the dressing for the side salad. Although the shop is small and not very bright (so not very baby friendly), the food and service more than makes up for the experience. Will come again for sure.

I like these cozy, hole in the walls. Appears to be run by a couple and consists of small tables for 2 or 4. The fish was fresh (that's what's most important), the portions were good at very reasonable prices. My only nitpick is that the rolls weren't rolled tightly enough, but otherwise a good eating experience. Would return. Side note: some of the pictures I took was after I already ate a few pieces ^_^ and there were some that I forgot to take pictures of -_-"
