Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Markham

Not sure what has happened to the customer service here. We've been here multiple times and I've had the same order for over a year now. Tonight we decided to get food from here after a long time. We ordered two philly chicken wraps as part of our order and a half n half. Half n half was fine, but both wraps were wrong. I've gotten this wrap, like I said countless times, and it always came with (what it says online) sauteed green peppers & onions, melted cheese and philly sauce. Ordered 2, asked for extra onions in one and onions in one. We were told it also comes with olive (first time hearing this) so we said no olives. Got the order, one wrap had pickles, onions, hot peppers, lettuce, tomato (no green peppers, no cheese, no philly sauce). The other wrap had olives, hot peppers, onions, lettuce and tomatoes (no green peppers, no cheese, no philly sauce). We called to complain (especially since I'm pregnant and pickles make me nauseous) and as they did agree to remake our orders they implied the mistake was ours in understanding that the wrap actually comes with all that. When we asked why the site says a different list of ingredients AND we've always gotten the online ingredients in previous orders. They just repeated that they don't go by the online list and when ordering a wrap, all ingredients are included...unless stated otherwise. This is so ridiculous because as a Philly chicken wrap... where's the cheese? Where's the philly sauce? Or the sauteed veggies? Also, then why did both wraps have different toppings?? Instead of owning their mistake, they decide to make it seem like the customer misunderstood. My husband went back to pick up the new order, and I basically got a chicken wrap with sauce. My husband I purchased a chicken on the rocks today at your Markham and Castlemore location in Markham,Ontario.

I am very disappointed in the level of service that was provided. First off, we ordered over the phone for a large chicken on the rocks and a large chicken with half fries and half rice. We picked it up and drove home without looking at the food. Once we got home we noticed that the portions of chicken for both plates was a lot less than usual at this location and from other locations I have been to. I have no other problem with the quality and quantity at other locations and I have always loved the food your company provides.

We drove back to ask them about the quality of food they provided hoping that it was a simple mistake and that they would just fix it. However, when we asked the staff there, they refused to add more chicken or give us a new order as it was the reasonable action to take. I will provide a photo of what was served to us and I believe the workers at this location have really low customer service skills which need to be addressed immediately. I have never had to complain before about anyone’s service or product before as normally I avoid restaurant businesses with bad reputations but as I said I love your food and feel that this location was trying to give us a subpar product and could have easily rectified the situation but they chose instead to give me a refund after wasting my time and gas to go and come back twice to this location.

Instead of writing a poor experience review on instagram and google, we actually wrote an email to them and they still refused no reply back with a poor response. I’m letting you know this is not accepted in the industry standard. I would really appreciate a response as soon as possible and if there is anything you can do to make up for their mistake. I have been coming here for a long time, ever since it opened. Today was the worst experience I have EVER had at any food establishment period.

I decided to try the fried chicken on the rocks. After waiting, I walked in as he was finishing up my order and I watched the worker rush to put the sauce on and put the box on the bag. I didn’t think anything of it but it struck me weirdly so I checked in the car and I saw 4 tiny nuggets sized pieces of chicken, practically no sauce, and the rice filling half the bowl.

I went in and confronted the workers, and was very rudely told that this was the serving size and they were being “pressured” by corporate to limit their portions to two scoops or rice and 4 pieces of chicken.

I can understand limits to portions, but this is ridiculous. For 13 dollars, I get plain rice, a little bit of sauce, and four chicken nuggets.

The food tasted fine, the rice was stale. But the staff and portion sizing is horrendous, and I do not like to be ripped off.

This is a scam, do not come here.
