This is probably one the nicest Tamil places I’ve ever been to. The staff are all shoe friendly and nice. They’re helpful and always full of energy. My whole family goes here, my dad, uncle, aunt, and I always recommend my friends to go here too, since all my non-Tamil friends also love Tamil food. My aunt and uncle actually drive all the way from Richmond Hill just to buy it from here, because their short eats are so good. Their mutton rolls have a nice dough around the outer layer, is nice and crispy and the best part is it actually has mutton unlike SOME other places in the area cough cough
Anyways their mutton patty and chicken patty is amazing as well, and literally just all meat. No potatoes or random fillers, just straight meat. And the meat and curry is so good too! They also have various food like Kothu roti, biryan, tandoori chicken, pasta, etc. They also have daily deals, I saw Kothu roti for $7.99 one day and puttu mix for $4.99 on Thursdays. Again, I highly recommend trying the mutton roll and patty from here! An amazing addition to the neighbourhood, I wish you guys all the best!
Also they have cool bottled drinks, they have a fever tree ginger beer that was really good and also hard to find in most places, and have a lot of other options. This place has changed so many times, but Rasathi needs to definitely stick around forever, you won’t be...
Read moreEdit. This place increased all their food prices to capture the HST tax break. This is a jerk move.
Service has gone down. The lady also tried to charge me extra for the biryani’s chicken Thursday special which was supposed to be 8.99 but they charged me for 11. I told her about it she then said okay. When she entered it in the register she still pressed 11 and did it extremely quickly had to quickly ask her to adjust the price and she reluctantly did it. I literally came her on opening day and the just lost a customer.
This place has friendly service and the food is great. Mutton and chicken rolls are good. The flavours are good and has a good mixture of vegetables and protien. On occasion, I had a couple of rolls that only had potatoes but still tasty nonetheless. The samosas are great but inconsistent as well. Sometimes they’re fried well (crispy) but on a couple of instances they were under fried (white, oily and soggy)
The kattu roti is also a hit. I enjoyed them quite a bit.
The service is amazing. We’re repeat customers. Just hope that they let the workers stay at home when they’re...
Read moreVery bad experience at Rasa Thi Restaurant (9909 Markham Rd Unit #11 & #12, Markham, ON). The food I received was not fresh, very oily, dry, and hard. The oil had a terrible smell, and it was clear the food was old. This is a serious food safety issue—serving spoiled or expired food can make people sick.
I had to spend money on medication after eating here. Restaurants should care about customers’ health, not just making money. If this continues, I will report to the Ontario health department.
I reply to the owner
want to clarify that I did not lie in my review. When I came to your restaurant, I spoke to you directly in person. I even told you to try the food in front of me, and you admitted the problem and threw the food into the garbage right away, saying “I am sorry.”
If you now claim my review is false, that is not acceptable. I work in healthcare and I know the importance of food safety. If this issue continues or if you deny responsibility, I will have no choice but to report it to the Ontario Health Department.
