They lost me as a customer today! I always recognized that they were somewhat “stingy” with respect to “quantity” on the plate, but their food was quite good. I’m a big guy but also a “big, generous” tipper; I usually leave $5. tip for a $10. meal if I see the value. So what is this value? Well it’s things like whether you forgot that I might need a refill on the coffee; whether you got everything you ordered and last of all, if you are a “big guy” maybe we can give you a few more potato chunks (potatoes are cheap). This isn’t the first time it’s happened. I look at my plate and figure this must surely be the “children’s portion”. Having mentioned this, all I got from the waitress was a “giggle”, well fine, I’m sure there are plenty of others that will frequent your place. It seems like you can’t even get “value for your...
Read moreEverything tasted like it came out of a freezer or a can. Super disappointed. My wife to be and I went for lunch at 12:30. I ordered the beef dip with the corn chowder. She had the crispy chicken burger and fries. My beef dip came with almost no meat in it, almost pure fat, had to pry the bites away! and the soup was basicly a can of cream corn with milk and half a piece of overdone crumpled bacon in it! Her burger came open faced with 2 chicken strips in it. Couldn't even bite through one of em it was rock hard. Tossed half the burger. She literally got 14 fries on the plate. Looked empty and we guessrd it was the last of the batch. Pretty sure they were McCain fries. We paid good money for what seemed like stuff we coulda made at home for a fraction of the price. No hurry...

Beef dip and onion rings my husband said was really good. 😋 It was real roast beef slices not shavings with caramelized onions in the sandwich, the dip was a nice beef jus. The onion rings were nice and crunchy.
I had the Rueben Sandwich 🥪 and I am pretty fussy on how it's made. It was perfect, no horseradish, no Dijon just good ol' plain mustard on rye swirl bread. The fries were really good, they had a nice crusty crunch on the outside (only way I could figure out to explain it, lol). Drinks we had a coffee and Earl grey tea.
The place may be small and inconspicuous but the food is packed with a punch of home cooked flavor and love. Great presentation on the plates as well. Our waitress was a lovely lady, very attentive..
