Attached is an e-mail I sent to 241 after a horrible experience I had ordering a pizza. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
"Hi there. I am writing due to an extremely unpleasant experience I had ordering pizza from your establishment.
On Saturday, February 16th at exactly 2:00 PM, I ordered the large online only deal. My order then took much longer than usual, arriving at 3:13 PM. When it arrived, the driver informed me that he had accidentally delivered my pizza to the wrong place, went back, got my pizza which had 2 slices taken from it, and replaced those 2 slices from another pizza at the place he had delivered it. He thought that was acceptable. I refused to pay for the pizza, but he kept insisting I just take it and call and complain. I declined again, and asked for my money back. He gave me my money back and left with the tampered pizza.
I immediately called 241 customer support. I explained what had happened to the customer service agent, and she was shocked at the driver's behavior. She said she would call the store, and have them rush out a new pizza to be delivered within the next half hour. Frankly, I thought that I should have had my food comped at this point, seeing as the driver attempted to give me tampered with food. Any reputable establishment would have instantly offered to cover the cost. But I wasn't in the mood for an argument, and just wanted my (un-tampered with) pizza. So I waited.
After an hour and 15 minutes, the "rush" pizza had still not arrived. I was very annoyed at this point. It was now 2 and a half hours since my initial order. So I called customer service again. The agent apologized, and said the store did not send the pizza out immediately. She then offered me a credit of $20.91 (the cost of the order). I hastily accepted, but realized this credit should be offered to me for this current order, considering the ordeal I was put through, the time I waited, and the fact that I have no plans on ever buying pizza from your establishment again. So I called back and asked for the credit to be applied to this current order. The agent said she could do that, and put me on hold. When she returned to the call, she said that the credit given was only $15. This was a blatant lie, and I was quite infuriated at this point. I asked her why, and she gave me no answer. I stated that I do not think I should pay for this order. She put me on hold again for 5 minutes, and finally told me that the full price of the order would be compensated, and that the pizza was on it's way.
The pizza arrived at 5 PM (3 hours after the initial order), and was delivered by the same driver. This upset me, considering this same driver had previously tampered with my food. I don't think it's unreasonable of me to not trust him. In any case, I took the pizza. It was clearly rushed and not cut properly. Everytime I would try to take a slice, it would break off. It was the worst pizza I have ever had from 241 Pizza.
So to surmise: A driver attempted to deliver me a tampered with pizza an hour and fifteen minutes late, the replacement pizza which I was not comped for took another hour and fifteen minutes, I was then only given credit for a future order (which I have no plans on making after this experienced), and then lied to when I tried to use the credit for my current order. Finally, after 3 hours, my order arrived, and was made to subpar standards. I was honestly shocked by this experience. I have been a frequent customer of 241 Pizza, and recommended it to friends and family. But this treatment was absolutely unacceptable. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I know how subpar this service was. I will now be sure to tell everybody I know about this experience, and discourage them from ever ordering 241 Pizza. Frankly, I am disappointed. Your establishment was once my favourite pizza restaurant in the GTA. Read moreI used to order from 241 a couple of times a month as a family when I was growing up. I tried to order from them again today and found the service abysmal. The website was not working to place an order so I tried by phone only to get transferred to customer service. The lady was then rude to me after I told her that I have autism and wanted to know why I was being transferred when I was just trying to place my food order. She then kept telling me that they do not go past ford drive in Oakville which I again did not understand. I asked her to please explain that differently, if it's a km radius or what and the lady I spoke with on the phone was quite rude to me and simply stated we do not deliver to your address. Read moreWaited 90 minutes for order. Called them and they told me they needed 30 more minutes. It never showed up. They didn't answer the phone and their customer support line didn't help at all. If there was a problem all they needed to do was let me know but the fact after calling them they said it was fine and would be with me in 30 minutes only for them to not answer the phone and not deliver anything is poor customer service.
