I am giving a 1-star review for the staff working in hijab who made this experience bad for me. I have been a regular customer and haven’t had any issues when the night staff guy and the young girl work. Honestly, they have been providing better customer service than this hijabi lady.
I ordered 3 Halwa Puri platters, which should have made it very obvious that they should not be served as combined platters. Despite me mentioning my request to serve the elders separately, I was served 1 Halwa Puri platter and 2 served as combined orders, which is NOT what I REQUESTED. Upon questioning this, the hijabi staff reminded me that it was OBVIOUS that it would be served combined. No, IT ISN’T OBVIOUS. If I ordered a platter for Halwa Puri, I should be served appropriately, PERIOD. The Halwa itself is a very small bowl, and serving it in one small black bowl and then telling me it’s for two people is a cheat, insult and a scam!
I told her that they were my guests and, despite me trying to clarify that I never requested it to be served combined, they should have first asked if it would be okay to serve it combined or separately. Then I would have answered them, but they didn’t ask, and later, upon questioning, the staff kept arguing with me over this.
Later, she brought the Halwa Puri curry, chana, and Halwa and told me it was free of charge. This felt like a slap in the face because she said it right in front of my guest, which was unethical and poor customer service!
Because I explained to her that it wasn’t a shared thing, she brought the chicken tikka and told me, "Just so you know, chicken tikka is also served as a single plate," reminding me since I questioned her on why they served as combined plate without asking. NO, the tikka wasn’t a shared plate; it was a single plate for the guest who requested that item. It makes sense to share the Nihari, but it doesn’t make sense to share Halwa Puri bowls when they are already served in small quantities. The halwa already is two spoons in that small bowl and you want my guest to share from that tiny bowl like each person gets 1 spoon each. Pathetic!
So, next time, please learn some manners and understand customer service. You do not come to the table, especially knowing they are guests, and talk about cheap tactics as a glorified way to say you did me a favor!
A service charge where customer are embarrassed and where we had to literally get up our table to ask for items and serve ourselves. Water bottles were empty the entire time after first serve and never refilled. Not a single interaction later asking if we needed anything else.
Please keep the $57 tip as I compensated you for your generous, cheap service and Halwa Puri bowls! I don’t like taking free favours.

Read more🌟 A Culinary Masterpiece at House of Nihari 🌟
If you’re searching for an unforgettable feast that dances on your palate, look no further than House of Nihari. This gem of a restaurant delivers an explosion of authentic flavors, with each dish crafted to perfection. From the moment you step in, the warm, inviting ambiance sets the stage for a meal that feels like a heartfelt embrace from Pakistani cuisine.
Nihari: The Star of the Show 🍲 The namesake Nihari is nothing short of extraordinary. Simmered for hours until the beef practically melts at the touch of a fork, this rich, velvety stew is a symphony of spices. The depth of flavor—earthy, aromatic, and just the right amount of warmth—lingers long after the last bite. Topped with fresh ginger, cilantro, and a squeeze of lemon, it’s comfort in a bowl, redefining what soul food should taste like.
Dhaga Kabab: A Thread of Delight 🧵 The Dhaga Kabab is a revelation. These succulent minced meat skewers, delicately wrapped around skewers (or “threads”), are marinated with a masterful blend of herbs and spices. Each bite offers a smoky char on the outside, while the inside remains tender and juicy, bursting with flavors of garlic, cumin, and a hint of chili. It’s no wonder these kebabs vanish from the plate faster than you can say “more, please!”
Bihari Boti: Grilled to Perfection 🔥 The Bihari Boti is a carnivore’s dream. Tender chunks of marinated beef, kissed by the flames of the grill, boast a caramelized crust that gives way to impossibly soft, flavorful meat. The marinade—a tangy, yogurt-based blend with paprika, mustard oil, and secret spices—creates a harmony of smoky, tangy, and subtly sweet notes. Every morsel is a testament to the art of grilling.
Naans: The Perfect Companions 🥖 No meal here is complete without their scrumptious Naans. Pillowy-soft yet crisp at the edges, these freshly baked beauties are the ideal vessel for sopping up every last drop of Nihari’s gravy. Whether you opt for the classic butter naan, fragrant garlic variant, or the slightly sweet Roghani, each tear-and-share piece is a masterpiece of texture and flavor.
Final Bite 🥄 House of Nihari isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. The meticulous attention to detail, bold flavors, and generous portions make this spot a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, hearty cuisine. Whether you’re a spice enthusiast or a comfort-food connoisseur, this restaurant will leave you planning your next visit before you’ve even left the table. 10/10—a triumph of taste!

Read moreI was there for iftar 6:45 pm I searched for nehari i get this bad place.i called there nd told It was my first time to try your restaurant. When I searched your menu, I didn't find the menu. That's why I called you and the guy picked up the call and the guy was so rude. I told him that I don't know your menu. Can you explain your menu to me and the guy rudely told me to go to Google and search. Look at you there, I had already told him i didn’t show the menu on google. After that I got very shocked that's why I ended the call and then my wife said to me i will try again my wife called again to order them. The guy did the same thing again, he was taking the order very angry, he was taking the order in a hurry, he was not listening to us properly, he was not understanding us, he was not telling us, and after that we told him that we want it and what the guy did was he didn’t repeat our order,And our order was not even complete yet he told us n the end that your order will be ready in 20 minutes, then he cut our call. This is not a way of customer service. This is not a way to run a restaurant. I am a manager of a restaurant. I know how to provide customer service and how to deal with customers. When a customer calls you, it is your duty to tell him that we have an order. It doesn't happen that the owner of the restaurant is paying you, he's not paying me, he's paying you, he's just paying for customer service. Please, when you leave your country and come to this country, leave your culture There .I would recommend everyone not to try this restaurant. This is my worst restaurant experience in Canada. When I was searching on Google, their rating was 3.9 something and what I am realizing now is that their rating is perfect, because they deserve.I'm not blaming the owner of the restaurant, I'm blaming the...
