I recently visited The Dough Story in Mississauga after hearing about their popular Lotus Biscoff dessert. I had been craving it for a while and decided to finally give it a try. The place itself is quite cute and aesthetically pleasing, which adds to the overall experience.

The Lotus Biscoff dessert did not disappoint. It was creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. Every bite was indulgent and satisfying. It is priced at $15.70 plus tax per box, which I found a bit expensive for a single serving. It would be great if they also offered a smaller portion for customers who want to enjoy it in one go without committing to a full-sized box. While they had a variety of seasonal desserts available, the Lotus Biscoff stood out as the best option for me.

However, my experience with the staff was disappointing. This was my first time visiting the store in person to pick up my order. While I was waiting, I saw a man showing a customized cake to another customer. I casually complimented it, but his reaction came off as overly smug. The woman who handed me the cheesecake also displayed an unwelcoming attitude. After thanking them upon receiving my order, I did not even receive a simple response in return.

Customer service is a crucial part of any food experience, and unfortunately, this aspect was lacking. I would rate the dessert itself a five, but due to the poor attitude and service, my overall rating...

Located in the heart of a bustling plaza, The Dough Story is a hidden gem that offers an oasis of sweetness amidst the hustle and bustle. The ambience is cozy yet vibrant, with a charming blend of modern decor and warm lighting, making it a perfect spot to unwind and indulge in some delightful desserts.

On our recent visit, we had the pleasure of trying several items, and each one was nothing short of exceptional. The Pistachio Tres Leche was a standout—rich and creamy with a perfect balance of nutty flavor. The Kashmiri Tea was beautifully spiced and fragrant, providing a soothing contrast to the decadent desserts. I also couldn’t resist trying the Ferrero Rocher Brownie, which was indulgently chocolatey, with the perfect crunch from the hazelnuts. And to top it all off, the Hot Chocolate was divine—rich, velvety, and not overly sweet, making it the ideal accompaniment to the treats.

What truly sets The Dough Story apart is the evident care in every dish. The desserts are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the sugar levels are perfectly balanced, so you don’t feel like you're overindulging. It’s a place where you can enjoy your sweet cravings without worrying about excess calories.

In all, The Dough Story offers a delightful escape for anyone looking for top-tier desserts, crafted with love and attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming...

I’ve been eyeing the rasmalai fusion cake the past few times I’ve been to ridgeway and today was the day I finally caved in. The atmosphere and variety of desserts they have are absolutely gorgeous but I can’t every justify dropping this kind of money on this small of a portion ever again.

I paid $24 for this small box of cake which is ridiculously expensive, they don’t have prices posted anywhere for their pastries so you know it’s going to be up there. I was close to saying nevermind but was genuinely curious to see if it was worth that much money.

The rasmalai fusion was good the first two or three bites, but got way too sweet afterwards and I had to put it away. I was expecting bits of rasmalai but to accurately describe it, it’s basically a tres leches cake with the flavor profile of rasmalai (sweetened milk, cardamom, pistachio). The texture and presentation of the cake were really pretty though, not gonna lie.

Overall, absolutely not worth it. I hate to dog on this place because as a hobby baker myself I understand the time and effort it takes to make desserts like this, but the most I felt would’ve been reasonable to pay would be $15… At the end of the day it was my decision to pay for the dessert but I won’t be back. You can get two plates of food at some of the surrounding restaurants for the same price as the small box of cake I paid...
