Fooddelicio (Restaurant + Grill) — Restaurant in Mississauga

BPA WARNING and disrespectful behaviour. I ordered pickup last night and waited over an hour for my food. The person decided to accommodate everyone that walked in after my order was placed and saved me for the last guest to be served. I waited approximately 20 minutes after my order pick up time. What made matters worse I watched as he put my food in the microwave in the plastic container and pack it up for my consumption.

I’m a dissatisfied customer and here’s why…

I called to ask questions about portion size and to pre order. I was greeted with a very frustrated rude person. I was very angry so I told them I will take my business elsewhere. ( I ended up ordering online instead as I was headed out of town n this was the best rated African restaurant on my route.

After arriving 20 minutes after placing my order the cook then tells me I have to wait even longer for my microwaved food. At this point I tried cancelling my order but once placed on Uber eats there is no way to reverse or cancel. So I was stuck waiting for an additional 45 mins.

I watched as he took containers out of the fridge and place directly in the microwave.( big no no with all the facts we now know about BPA, hormones and things to avoid while trying to get pregnant

Once my food was ready I noticed that the two grilled chicken for $12 was two pieces of chicken legs. Which is a rip off ( but I’m willing to pay for good food)

I addressed my concerns and he apologized but what pissed me off even more was this comment that was left by this restaurant on social media under my comment and concerns. Laughing at a customer’s concerns is never ok. I left the comment below for you to see.

The food was delicious but the service was terrible, very bad experience for someone who try’s different restaurants globally...

I always wanted to try nigerian food, and this first experience was absolutely amazing. I love both dishes I tried, and I will definitely be going back there in the future for more.

One thing I would like to add is that if you are from a different culture or picky eater, you should listen to the chef's food recommendations and try to ease into getting used to how certain food is, as there are dishes that are completely foreign to what you are used to, and you may need time to appreciate those flavors.

My experience was great because I am from Jamaica, and even though the food was in many ways different from what I am used to, I still could enjoy the food because of the slight similarities, as I could could predict what each dish would taste like by just looking at the pictures and going accordingly to what I think I would like..

Also, the owner has a great personality and is very welcoming. My only recommendation is that they get a better menu that displays the dishes and not just their names because I think that will help more people to have a better judgment when deciding.. lol you don't wanna order something, then when it gets to your table, you're like, "What the hell?" I had to use Google maps to see the food displays of the restaurant and did not use the menu provided to me at all..

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fooddelicio Restaurant in Mississauga, Canada, and I must say, it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality, and the exceptional service only added to the overall enjoyment.

I ordered the Coconut Rice, Smoky Jollof Rice, Suya, and Turkey Wings, and every bite was a burst of flavor! The Suya was perfectly seasoned and tender, while the turkey wings were juicy and packed with a smoky, rich taste. The Coconut Rice, in particular, was so delicious that I couldn’t resist coming back the very next day to order a full tray of it along with more Suya!

A special shoutout to Foluke and her team for their friendliness and outstanding service. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, making the experience even more memorable. It’s rare to find such a seamless combination of incredible food and exceptional hospitality. Whether you’re visiting or living in Canada, Fooddelicio Restaurant is an absolute must-try.
