Fred's Kitchen — Restaurant in Mississauga

I tried this restaurant a couple of years ago and decided to go back since I could not remember what I ate there. So today I ordered the jerk chicken dinner with oxtail sauce on the rice. I have to say I really appreciated that the chicken was AMAZING!! You have to first note that this place does not try to make a wimpy jerk chicken just to appeal to the world. They keep it real by making sure it is well marinated, the skin cooked well/ thin like a Peking Duck (no fat), and you can see and taste the jerk spice. The chicken is juicy and tasting not dried or floating in sauce like some other restaurant I won't mention. I like the fact he does real vegetables on the side that is not overcooked. The rice was amazing and most importantly my food did not need reheating when i got home lol. I wanted more!! Honestly to many people go out of their way to complain about something in this world so I decided to go out of my way to write this review and personally call Fred to thank him for keeping it real lol!! Keep up the good work Fred, I will be trying...

I keep hearing this advertise on tambourine radio and i live in Brampton so i told my boyfriend about it cause we were tired of the Jamaica house and all those wanna be Restaurant. what made it worst we just came from Jamaica so we didn't want no joke cooking....lol

Anyways he got the typical Rice and peas and fired chicken i got a fried fish with rice and peas they make it on the spot so its not like its been sitting there all day.... very fast service, next time i will ask for less vegetables cause it was way too much.

you want to know if the food was good it was GREAT and i will be going back its a bit of a drive maybe like 20- 30 mins and on my drive there I passed over 5 Jamaican restaurants but im telling you the food did a SHOT... that means it was good for all the non Jamaican readers..

SO GO AND TRY IT OUT ITS JUST SAD THEY DON'T HAVE A SITTING AREA that's why i didn't give them a 5...

I took my girlfriend there for lunch. I asked the lady working at the counter for a table. The seating area was behind a curtain which I found strange. She said we couldn't get in from there and that we had to go to other entrance of the restaurant around back.

We went around and the other side was the kitchen entrance. A staff member from the kitchen said to go back around to other side. When we went back to the original entrance, someone asked to be seated aswell and the lady told him there was a private function going on. So she literally lied to my face. Then I said I just want takeout and she argued with me and went and got someone from the kitchen. I waited 20 minutes the lady didn't even bat an eye in my direction.

Customer service is non existent. and the place is a dump. Avoid...
