Happy Chappy Grill — Restaurant in Mississauga

My stomach is not so happy, and my butt is a little bit chappy 😂😂😂.

I'm not sure how this place got the ratings they did, when honestly speaking, Burger Factory is just one block away and was a lot better. I get the feeling the owner of this place had their friends post a ton of positive reviews to really get them going. I spent $108 at this place and maybe the $8.99 for the salad was worth it, but that's about it. The wait time for our order was around 30 minutes, which we were totally fine with because we believe that time equals quality. Unfortunately this place decided to disprove that theory and they succeeded. And FYI, the place was completely dead and there were no delivery orders coming in or anything, we were the only ones in there in the span of 30 minutes, so I'm just setting the context of what I'm about to say.

We ordered two of the bulldozer burgers, a volcano chicken burger, the ultimate loaded poutine, a large poutine, a ceaser salad, and a garden salad. For those who are gluten sensitive, there are no gluten free options here, so please keep that in mind as well. Not that it really matters, our party didn't care, but I did ask just to get some more info in case I decided to want to bring other friends (not gonna happen).

I'm going to say the only thing that was good was the garden salad. The bulldozer burgers were drenched in I guess their special happy chappy sauce, which was slightly spicy and not good at all. It really took away from the beef experience (The beef was cooked well, but it was slightly dry). The volcano chicken burger was decent, but again too much sauce and you really don't get the flavor of the chicken because your mouth and tongue are fighting for feeling again. The sandwiches were not put together well, and they look like they were wrapped very hastily.

The ultimate loaded poutine did not have enough gravy or cheese, but the chicken portion was very decent. Unfortunately it was not good, as the chicken bites were dry and slightly hard. The regular poutine was just regular, nothing special. I guess it takes away from the poutine experience when you're just buying Costco fries instead of making your own homemade.

They have their own take on what a Caesar salad is, because it pretty much looked identical to the garden salad, but the only difference is that it had the beef bacon, which was fine, but a Caesar salad should not have tomatoes or onions, and they gave you one dressing container for both salads. Needless to say, the garden salad was a very welcome change to the rest of the meal (I eat my salads last since I prefer having my hot food first).

I do have to give kudos to the guy at the counter, he was super attentive, and answered all the questions we had, and incredibly pleasant. But besides that, he couldn't do anything about the food since he wasn't the one cooking it. Do yourself (and your wallet a favour), there are a ton of better burger places in the Mississauga area, and even one just a block away from this location, go there instead. I feel very confident that this place cuts corners on the type of ingredients they buy and it shows in the food quality. Again I don't know how this place got all these positive reviews, and I was REALLY excited about this place.

Never coming back, but...

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment recently, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The overall experience was fantastic, and I cannot wait to return for another visit.

First and foremost, the food itself was exceptional. We took advantage of the great deals they offer for students, and every item we tried exceeded our expectations. The dishes were not only fresh and hot but also remarkably wholesome. It's refreshing to find a place that takes pride in serving quality food, especially at such affordable prices.

One aspect that truly stood out during our visit was the outstanding customer service provided by the owners. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about ensuring their customers had a delightful experience. The owners' dedication to customer satisfaction was evident, as they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and well taken care of.

Furthermore, the menu boasted an array of special items that piqued our interest. Although we were unable to try them all on our first visit, we are already eagerly planning our next trip to sample these enticing dishes. This establishment undoubtedly caters to the diverse tastes of students, making it an ideal place for them to gather and enjoy a satisfying meal.

Now, let's talk about the standout dishes that left a lasting impression on our palates. The butterfly shrimps were nothing short of divine, perfectly cooked to achieve a delightful crunch while maintaining their succulent flavors. The chicken tenders and fries were a classic combination executed flawlessly, with the chicken being tender and the fries crispy and golden.

The Fish burger was a delightful surprise, featuring a juicy patty complemented by fresh toppings and a satisfying bun. The Beef samosas were packed with savory goodness, boasting a delectable filling and a crispy exterior. Lastly, the jalapeno cheese poppers were simply amazing, with a delightful balance of heat and creaminess that kept us coming back for more.

Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. From the surprisingly good food to the friendly owners and the variety of special items on the menu, this establishment truly exceeded our expectations. Whether you're a student looking for great deals or simply someone who appreciates delicious and wholesome meals, this place is a must-visit. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit to explore more culinary...

Stepping into this restaurant, my friend and I were greeted with the utmost respected warm welcome! We both met the owner (which, by the way, was an amazing person, felt like I was talking to a person I knew really well, and he made me and my friend feel in a comfortable setting)

If you ever meet the owner, he's very humble and openly receptive to feedback. He cares for the customer's experience and overall satisfaction, exactly how a business owner should treat their customers 👏 👌

The food was prepared well in a timely matter and the food I ordered was more than delicious, it was flavorsome! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the poutine I ordered was spot on. It wasn't heavy, it was served light like how it should be served. Overall, the size portion was just absolutely perfect!

I highly recommend going to Happy Chappy Grill, and you will not be disappointed with your experience there! I'm coming from Markham for this place, and they definitely earned my future business here!
