Visit Day/Time: Saturday Nov 12, 2022 7pm 2.5/5 average taste 0/5 qeema biryani 0/5 beef sekh kebab 0/5 beef bihari kebab 1/5 chicken bihari kebab 3.5/5 chicken reshami handi (cost $42) 0/5 goat charsi karahi (cost $72.xx) 2.5/5 chicken Peshawari karahi 3/5 lamb karahi 2.5/5 lahori fish 3.75/5 chicken pakora Naan were ok, not exceptional. Details of each item are: No bihari kebab taste in beef bihari, it was simply a soft beef portions. Perhaps it should be named something else, and even then we didn't like the taste at all. Beef sekh kebab was dry, thick and no flavor. Chicken sekh kebab although surprisingly juicier with mild spices. Qeema biryani is not biryani but a minced/ground beef in tota chawal. Even I never would like to use that tota small rice for any rice dish, its like kheer rice when u crushed it. No warm no dum at all. It was simply waste of money. We wanted to order half of goat charsi karahi, but server told us that there's only one size in Charsi which is full so we ordered Charsi Karahi in Goat. The portion size of Goat Charsi karahi was disappointing as it was just like half karahi and there was goat meat smell coming out from the pieces. Charsi masala taste was average (not bad but nothing exceptional that could make us to order it next time). Chicken Peshawari full karahi : We hav been told it will be just salt n pepper but as you can see from pictures that's not the case, we re-confirmed with server if that's the Peshawari karahi and she checked with backend and confirmed it. Sorry, its not original Peshawari karahi, in my personal opinion you can name it something else but it tastes better than Charsi. Lamb Karahi: We ordered half and original simple one, which we like.. lamb pieces though very complex , most of the bones but there was no smell and taste was ok, better than goat charsi. Fish pakora: portion size and size of pakora too small, average taste. Chicken Pakora: Taste was good but portion size this time was not satisfactory. Server did sometimes forgot to bring chatni and raita with our various items but that's understandable. Customer service was good, no complains there. This is my honest review and I hope that someone could look into...
Read moreUpdate- I got a call back from Karahi Point right after I posted this review and they were quite apologetic about how they treated me. They were ready to deliver a second order to my house via uber. As I mentioned earlier the biriyani was just too good, we are full from having it. I didn't want a second order which could go waste. I appreciate their call back and it definitely changes my perspective. It is all good as long as they are paying attention to costumer feedbacks. Thank you for your food and customer service, karahi point!
We have been to this place more than once. We enjoy food at this place. Today we ordered a non veg combo which includes Naan, chicken karahi and biriyani. Biriyani tasted excellent. But, the karahi was completely spoilt to the extent that we couldn't have it at all. When I called in to complain they mentioned they can give a new plate of chicken karahi instead of this one but we would have to bring the dish over to their restaurant. That seemed illogical since we ordered from uber just because we can't drive in the middle of a workday. When I mentioned the same, they said they can't help me unless I drive over their restaurant to bring over a half eaten dish which sounds so stupidand they don't have a delivery guy to send over. All they can do is note my name down for half off the next chicken karahi order I place which I am sure I am not going to use because this definitely the last time I am going to order in their restaurant.
Sometimes certain food taste doesn't appeal you or for whatever reason you don't like the food, that is fine. More than the quality of food I am disappointed in the way they handled my complaint. When I mentioned I don't like my food, it tastes stale, the immediate response was we have multiple customers dining on chicken karahi and no one is complaining right now. It was almost to insinuate that I could be lying which was quite unprofessional. Instead of making sure that I get my due attention, they lost a loyal...
Read moreKarahi Point Mississauga — A Restaurant That Actively Discriminates Against Disabled Customers. If i could i would guve them minus point. They dont even deserve one point.
As a disabled person and a very active member of the disabled community in Toronto and Mississauga, I am beyond disgusted with Karahi Point Mississauga.
This was my third time attempting to use the so-called accessible door switch — and yet again, it didn’t work. This is not a small oversight. This is a clear pattern of neglect and discrimination.
I had already complained twice before, giving them a fair chance to do the right thing. They didn’t. This time, they’ve lost me — and they’ve lost the entire disabled community I proudly represent and advocate for.
And yes, this time I’ve also formally reported them to the City of Mississauga. Enough is enough. Accessibility is not a decoration — it’s the law. If a business can’t manage to provide a working accessible entrance, then it should not be allowed to operate.
The feeling of standing outside, helpless, while struggling to enter — all because a basic accessibility feature is broken and ignored — is degrading, humiliating, and painful.
This kind of behavior used to be common in Brampton — and now it’s spreading like a disease into Mississauga. We see it. We talk about it. We remember.
Karahi Point’s message is loud and clear: “We don’t care about disabled customers.”
Well, here’s my message in return:
I will never return. I will make sure no one in the disabled community does either. I will speak out about this wherever I go — online, in advocacy meetings, and with every local group I’m part of.
Accessibility isn’t charity. It’s not an option. It’s a human right, and it’s legally required. Karahi Point Mississauga has failed — and they’ve failed with full knowledge.
To those reading this: if you care about inclusion, decency, and respect — take your business somewhere that values all...
