This is easily the worst KFC location in the GTA. The staff here go out of their way, as if they are being paid to, to destroy orders and frustrate customers so that they never come back.
Either it is extremely long wait times, cold food, or they get your order wrong all together. The issue stems from the work ethic and awareness of the staff. Majority of the staff do not take pride in their work and it shows with their sloppy body movements and lack of enthusiasm when you order.
Just today, I asked for a bean fries supreme and a bean taco, instead, they put beef in both, a mistake which happens time to time. However, this is where it gets annoying. I went back to get what I originally ordered and I was met with absolute malice.
First, I was told, that I did not ask for beans for both orders, funny thing is, I did, yet they say all four people inside heard me ask for beef. Funny, because I have been vegetarian for the past month, so why would I order beef?
Carrying on, I came back to get my correct order, I was met with hostility at the window. First I was told to ask for beans when I order as the regular items are beef off the bat. I knew this, hence why I asked for beans. Then the girl goes on to explain how "this time" they will fix my order. What? If you get my order wrong and I've paid for it, the responsibility falls on you to fix it and give me what I asked for, what do you mean "this time".
In addition, there was no receipt in the bag, they do this often, so there is no proof of what you ordered. Negligence all around at this location, the exterior and interior may have received an upgrade but clearly the training has not. I have no idea why they turned a molehill into a mountain, they always do this. I just wanted my bean fries supreme and bean supreme taco. Fun fact, even when they remade the bean supreme taco, it only had lettuce on it, how pathetic. So they are blaming me yet they get a second chance to fix their mistake and make another type of mistake.
Here's some tips: The customer knows what they want, give it to them. Make sure food is hot and warm and edible when serving customers both for dining in and take away. Smile when you are taking an order and learn how to say please and thank you to customers. In addition, do not speak Punjabi all the time in the kitchen and among staff. Speaking Punjabi, may make other feels off, as if you are talking about them and it's just not professional in the work place. Practice speaking English among staff and customers at all time to make everyone feel welcomed and understood. Last but not least, if you guys make a mistake admit the mistake, don't argue with customers, you are not doing us any favors, we are the ones who keep you in business and pay your wages.
Bottom line is this, if you want KFC, do not go to the one located on Goreway or the one located on Vanguard off Derry Road, both locations are a waste of your hard earned money, especially during these tough times.
As for management, save the reply to this comment, I will never come to this KFC again, no point. I have given this location a plethora of chances and it fails to deliver every time. I rather go to Popeyes and spend my money there, taste better and the staff are attentive and...

Im not sure where or whom trained you, to take orders let alone even deal with customer service. Its clear your new here to this country so next time you want to tell a customer in a drive thru in private property to drive forward or backwards because your "timer" is on, understand there is laws here in canada and on private property if someone where to hit me or drive into me while idling for food, TACO BELL/KFC would not be responsible' im sure they must of gone through this with you in orientation.
In the last 23 years I have never ever deal with such distasteful behaviour let alone you claiming we abused you' sighing and huffing and puffing because we asked you what you meant. In the last 23 years we have always been asked to wait in the parking lot or to drive and park infront of the entrance so our order would be delivered to the car directly when it was ready. Amisha telling the customer RUDELY huffing and sighing saying , next time dont be "abuse" ? HOW ABOUT GO BACK TO SCHOOL and learn how to communicate with PROPER english. Next time dont tell your customers you have a timer. Never in 23 years have we been told to move because your timer is on. Never in the 23 years we've ordered from the drive thru have we been told to drive up or drive back, LET ALONE in a drive thru. When my husband asked you confused and said im sorry what move back or forward why. Then you proceeded to give attitude and get irritated and said i have a timer you need to move or go around.
You MUST BE NEW HERE' and next time a customer tells you I want refund, YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE REFUND.
no we dont trust you after your RUDE ENCOUNTER then try to switch it up and say we are abuse. ABUSE? Go back to school and learn how to communicate RESPECTFULLY with Canadians. Here in canada we say sorry even its not our fault! Excuse me, your WELCOME !

Read moreMy experience at this location (7161 Goreway Dr) for the past year or more has been horrible. Today it was the icing on the cake. I ordered my meal and asked for it to be freshly dropped because I have come the past two times and the cheese on my poutine was still frozen. This time they asked me to come back around in 5 minutes to pick up my order. I live 3 minutes away from this location. When I got home and pulled the food out of the bag, you can see and feel the food was cold. The worst part is that it also tasted stale, like it was sitting there for hours. After bring the food back less then 15 mins later the staff was giving me a hard time to get a refund. They sent three different workers to the drive through window to talk to me. But I was already turned off that I didn’t want any food from this location. It took 20 mins of going back and forth and by the time they gave me my money back it was the wrong change. I was waiting for the lady to come back so I could tell her the change was wrong and another worker came back saying rudely “you got your money”. I then explained that the amount she gave me was short of what I paid. They took the money and had a 5 minute conversation with each other before giving me the...
