I used to love this place when I first went over a year ago — the concept, the food, the variety — it was easily one of my top spots in the area. Unfortunately, things have gone severely downhill since.
Let’s start with the basics: the washroom. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by how they maintain it, and the lack of cleanliness speaks volumes. It’s disappointing, especially for a predominantly Muslim establishment, that I wouldn’t feel comfortable even praying here — let alone eating here again — after seeing how neglected the facilities were.
I ordered my usual brisket, something I’ve had at least 2x before, but this time it was extremely dry and overcooked — as many other reviews have mentioned. Our table’s food came out at completely different times, with one order arriving over 20 minutes later than the rest. By then, the first plate was cold.
For dessert, I ordered the brownie Nutella naan while others ordered different things. Once again, the same issue — everything came out at random times. My dessert alone took 25+ minutes, and when it finally arrived, there was no Nutella on it. My partner had to go up and complain because, by that point, the experience had gone from disappointing to frustrating.
Service-wise, I had to ask three times for someone to clear our plates before dessert. The busboy came, picked up half the table, and left the rest. I told our server that I wouldn’t be paying for the brisket, and while she was polite, she said management doesn’t allow removing items — only remaking them. After speaking with the manager, she kindly apologized, remade the Nutella naan, and removed it from the bill (as well as the brisket). She was professional and understanding, and I truly appreciated that.
But the real issue here lies in the kitchen. The execution, timing, and quality control are just not there. If you can’t send out consistent, properly cooked food or coordinate orders — you shouldn’t be working in a kitchen, it's shameful. The brisket and Nutella naan were both unacceptable and bringing out food randomly is just as bad.
This establishment is falling apart at the seams, and sadly, it shows in the reviews. The three restaurants inside — Oklahoma Burgers, Smokey Sam’s, and karak — need to work together because the entire food hall’s reputation is being dragged down.
After this visit, we’ve decided we’ll never return to Kingsbridge Food Hall, or to any of the restaurants associated with it.
Thank you to our server and the manager for handling the situation gracefully — and apologies that we had to raise our voices — but the food and service simply...
Read moreWe went to the Cafe section for their brunch. While the location is very pretty and it’s a nice atmosphere, the place fails to satisfy with their food. I eat at a lot of breakfast places and I am used to the main breakfast being aided with a side like potatoes and toast with jam, especially if you are paying $20+ for each dish. Here you had to pay separate for everything, even the jam.
The portions for Egg Croissant and the French toast was big but the taste was very basic. Moreover, it was very difficult to eat. The croissant was shaped like a box which made it difficult to bite and it was too difficult to also cut into small pieces. There was hardly any flavour inside. Just your basic omelette with salt and pepper, packed in a croissant with mayo and a little of cheese. There was no wow factor or novelty to the taste.
My husband ordered the smash burger with fried eggs but after delivering the rest of the orders after 15 mins, waiter comes and tells us that the burger will take 30 mins. He then had to order something else.
The cafe has my full point for presentation and atmosphere, but fails where it matters the most; taste and...
Read moreWe visited tonight for dinner. The staff were welcoming and ambiance was very nice. We ordered cheese burger from Oklahoma and brisket combo from Smokey Sam’s along with a Buffalo chicken burger from Smokey Sam’s as well. The cheeseburger and brisket were spot on and were packed with flavour. However the buffalo chicken burger was not something exceptional, plus it had a lot of sauce which made the burger really soggy to the point where it was difficult for me to pick up from the plate and eat it.
However for us the star for tonight was our server Yukta. She was super welcoming since we entered the restaurant and when she asked for the feedback and I told her about the burger not being as good as we had hoped for it to be, she was kind enough to not charge us. We kept on insisting that she charges us because we did eat it but she was adamant on making it a good experience for us. We really appreciate her gesture and her commitment to provide exceptional service. Will definitely go back because we had a great...
