I was born and raised in Kuwait... Kunafa brings a lot of fond memories for me growing up.. it was the last breakfast we had early inn the morning (4am) the day we left Kuwait.. because of this my expectations for Kunafa are pretty high.. I am limited to trying a lot of places as most use food colouring.. and those that do not often put too much syrup... Now that you know the background when I found out a new Kunafa place opened up down the street from where I live how could I not come and give it a try! As an fyi my go to place is Crown Pasteries but they do more single slices... let's talk about Kunafa Mississauga... First of Customer service is Excellent. I called ahead inquiring if they do Kunafa without food colouring and they said yes! So I ordered a small tray... I also asked for the sugar syrup on the side..again this way I can control the syrup for all the people I am sharing it with. Kunafa made here uses Nabulsi cheese. There is also Lebanese version made with Akawi cheese tastes a bit different.. I was greeted into the store and asked if I wanted to try a sample while I waited to pick up.. The Baklava was good not too sweet and decent amount of nuts.. They also had rolls definitely something I want to try next time. I added the syrup while serving, the Kataifi dough was crispy and lived up to its name, a decent amount of pistachios and controlling the amount of syrup is also another classy touch. The taste was pretty good. Definitely tasted fresh and definitely will need to try it again before giving my final verdict. I did find it was a bit on the oily side more then usual but then again I have never had it fresh out of the oven..As the cheese also leaks out it's oils.. I might let it sit for a bit next time before serving. I am curious to know if it's veg ghee or another oil. In the end this is definitely a spot you should visit as it's pretty authentic. The owner took time to speak with me and I wish them the best, Kunafa will always be dear to my heart, I appreciate a local place that is serving this amazing dessert. I will definitely come back to try the rolls and other sweets again before the final...

Then on my insisting u went inside and came back said me that it ll take 30 mins more...I said this is not fair that u people are taking the money and keep us standing in a queue for a long time..so give me my money back..she gave me a very angry look and said badly to go to counter for refund..it was not only me there was other lady aswell she took refund.after 10mins waiting I reached the counter and the counter girl said let me confirm how long it take .she went inside and came back and told me wait 5 mins it's coming.i waited 10 mins then my order came and picked up.this is sure that they are not making this in this shop .bcoz if they are making in their shop it wouldn't take long.it was coming from somewhere else far away....so that's y they were start giving people time for 1.5.hrs picking up...so today it's was very bad experience specifically customer services abd all.i hope when they read this they ll try...
Read moreKunafa's Opening Day in Mississauga was so yummy and delicious. I had Kunafa Nabulsi Nama (Soft) and Kunafa Nabulsi Kishna (Crispy). A famous Middle Eastern pastry dish made with real Nabulsi cheese and authentic nama/kishna dough, drizzled in a sweet syrup, and topped with pistachios. When I first entered this dessert shop, I was greeted right away with a smile and friendly customer service. The server Ayah was super nice and I got to briefly meet the owner as well. Overall very welcoming customer service. Now let's talk about these lovely desserts. They serve everything from Baklawas to different kinds of Kunafas. They all look very savory. The shop was very clean and there are parking spots available if you drive and it is next to a bus stop as well, very accessible. I had my kunafa to go and they wrapped it up nicely and it was still warm when I ate it, very satisfying. It is centrally located in a busy Mississauga intersection of Hurontario and Dundas. This is their third location after successfully opening doors in Scarborough and then Ajax. I highly recommend trying this famous Middle Eastern dessert if you have never had one in your life. Kunafa is a very special and unique dessert! I can safely say that Kunafa's dessert shop is the best Kunafa I ever had in...
