This place is a joke. It used to be one of the most loved spots in Streetsville, packed, charming, part of the areaâs identity. Now? Cold, detached, and not worth your time.
I came in after wedding dress shopping. I had just picked my dress, and this was supposed to be a celebratory treat for me and my mom. I was genuinely happy and looking forward to it. But the experience completely ruined my mood.
They now only allow you to sample one flavor. Not even two. Just one. With all the options they have, how does that make any sense? I wasnât asking for five, I just wanted to compare two. That should be the bare minimum at any ice cream shop.
I explained how disappointing that was, and that my frustration wasnât with the staff, but with the policy. I wasnât rude just honest. But the girl just kind of looked at me like âit is what it is.â No understanding, no effort, not even a suggestion to help. So I said, âIf I canât try even two flavors, Iâm not going to buy anything,â and she just replied, âOkay, have a great day.â
At that point, I didnât even want to try the one flavor. Why bother when Iâm already too frustrated to enjoy it? The whole interaction felt dismissive, like I was wrong for expecting something so simple.
I didnât buy anything. My mom did and even she didnât enjoy hers. This used to be a place we looked forward to. Today it was empty, and I get why.
I wonât be back. I donât care how good the flavors are, Iâll happily go somewhere else where Iâm treated with a little...
Read moreWe had a terrible disappointing experience at this ice cream shop. There was no one else in the store, except three young over giggling servers. We asked to try a couple of flavours before deciding, they rudely said they donât allow sampling â only one flavour you can try, and thatâs it. Such a funny thing to say if you are running an Ice cream shop, the main point of sampling is to compare flavours and buy the best flavour suitable for you, at least keep the sampling restricted to maybe 2-3 flavours or else HOW CAN YOU COMPARE the damn flavours, so hilarious and stingy behaviour, such a waste of time, we have been to several bigger and better ice cream shops they have unlimited/or minimum 3 flavours sampling system, I mean who controls sampling, REAL trashy business sense. Honestly, this is the first time in my life Iâve gone into an ice cream shop and been told canât sample more than one flavour. Those high school servers are also talking back, and giggling continuously that almost embarrassing you for asking about another sampler. Ice cream place should be a place of fun, mood booster with positive abundance, NOT freaky small town STINGY mentally, never going back. What a Shame. Ice cream is supposed to lift your mood and be a joyful experience, but this place did the opposite. We walked out feeling annoyed and frustrated. Definitely wouldnât recommend it to anyone looking for a positive happy, welcoming and customer...
Read moreMurphy's ice cream parlour is a hidden gem that you definitely don't want to miss. I had the pleasure of stopping in for a few scoops and I must say I was impressed. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a classic, rustic charm that is perfect for indulging in a sweet treat.
The real highlight, though, is the ice cream itself. All the flavors are homemade and carefully crafted in-house, using only the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients. From the classics like chocolate and vanilla, to more adventurous options like lavender honey and bourbon brown sugar, each scoop was bursting with flavor and had a creamy, smooth texture.
In terms of service, the team at Murphy's are friendly and knowledgeable, eager to help you make a decision or provide recommendations based on your preferences. The only downside I could find was the limited seating, but that is easily overlooked by the quality of the products being offered.
Overall, I would highly recommend Murphy's ice cream parlour to anyone looking for a delicious and unique ice cream experience. It exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be back next time...
