20/02/2019 TL;DR; don't bother, waste of time and money. very very disappointing experience at this location. Came at around 10 PM, with a group of friends and bought the party pack. When we ordered, they let us know that they only had breast pieces left, which was okay, as we thought they would still be freshly made. To our disappointment, when the food came, the chicken was COLD on the inside. Obviously they had reheated it, as it was also very dry. The garlic bread was thinner than what we would get at the mississauga heartland location, and the fries were saltier. On top of that, our appetizer didn't even show up until the end of the meal. I would have felt better about the situation, had they at least serviced our table properly. A table of 6 and only one jug of water...? I asked them for a refill, but eventually just decided to walk to the sink in the back and fill up the jug myself. the server didn't let us know how things worked either, so we just kinda waited for cutlery until one of us realized they were in the back. After bringing up the cold chicken to the manager, she said she can either reheat it or compensate us for next time. She also told us that the wait time for new chicken is half an hour. Just a suggestion, please let your customers know if there is an option for fresh pieces. We would've been happy to wait half an hour when we got there, but after half an hour of sitting there, and eating dry cold chicken, that isn't an option anymore. At the end, the manager gave us cards that would give us a free quarter chicken with purchase of a quarter chicken..but the coupons were expired! I am definitely not planning to return to this Nandos location again, nor will I be recommending it to anyone. The interior is nice, but at the end of the day, it really is about the food I came to eat, and unfortunately didn't receive up to the standard of the franchise. It really shows when the employees clearly don't want to be there, and it reflects in their service. feedback and advice for next time -please train your servers to clearly let customers know how the restaurant works, where to order, that we need to help ourselves to cutlery/water etc. -please don't just try and get rid of pieces, if I'm paying $72+ I really do expect a fresh meal, and if that isn't what I'm getting, be upfront about it. Read moreThis location used to be one of the best. It's very unfortunate to see a decline in quality and customer service at this location. My last few experiences at this location got from bad to worse. I ordered pick up a double leg+2 sides - medium. The chicken leg was uncooked and tasted raw. We had to throw away half of each piece because it was downright raw! Also, not sure what changed but normally, Nandos grill the chicken with the chosen flavour sauce, in this case, the chicken tasted like it was grilled plain, and then the medium sauce was given on the side. Very unusual based on the numerous times I've been to Nandos.
One of my previous experiences pre-covid at this same location, was on an order of chicken wings. We ordered 5 chicken wings, when it was served, it was 4 wings and the 5th was half a wing. Called the manager to show her, and got a response that 'these wings come to us from the factory as 1 wing, so it counts as 1 wing, because that's what the factory says', when it was clearly half a wing - regrettable customer service, we got no replacement and was left with 4.5 wings to eat instead of 5. No such thing as quality control, so if the factory tells them the sky is pink, it sounds like that's what they will believe 'because the factory said so' and they clearly don't use their brains and senses.
Decided to give them another chance last weekend only to get to eat raw chicken. I wonder how this location passed the health and safety standards. Never going back again. Nandos used to be my favourite, but these experiences are making me question...
Read moreWent there for a Mother's Day lunch. First, their service pathetic, and the main servers had attitudes. I am not sure if it's because we went with whole family and we were around 20 people and they didn't like that idea of having so many people in one group. I understand that to accommodate big groups, it takes time, and we waited passionately without saying anything, and when we finally got seated, we ordered the food and while ordering she said yeah part of ordere will be delay 25 minutes because we ran out of chicken. It's a chicken shop and you ran out if it? After a bit more delay, food started to come. Food taste no complain . Food tastes good. First they forget one drink while asking for one more drink they started asking like we wanted to get one free drink. We paid 400 dollars for the bill and we would lie about a single drink. We ordered 4 jumbo platter they served 3, waited for some time that they will give 4 the one which they didn't and when ask where the 4 platter is they said oh we gave it already. I asked them to come on table and count what is delivered which they did. So pathetic of them and then when everyone was almost done, they brought the last platter. Really pathetic service and their attitude towards the customer have thrown me out. I would personally not gonna visit this particular location.
