Come in for the Kadak chai and stay for hearty local-eats-options that one typically eats as Street food (or fast food as we call it in India). 🫖 Loove their Kadak Chai - it comes in 2 sizes and the regular is enough for one. The taste and strength is quite close to our Desi homemade chai. I’ve tried both ginger and French vanilla flavour shots with my chai and neither of those fit my flavour pallet (The views are personal here, ofcourse). The ginger shot was actually a gingerbread shot and the French vanilla shot is probably better in a sugarless chai. Definitely don’t recommend it with a sugar chai. I encourage you to try it yourself and make your own decision. What I recommend: 🫖 Kadak Chai 🥪 Bombay Sandwich 🫓 Shakshuka
As of Dec 31’ 2024 - the price of a flavour shot is 50 cents and the cost of a regular/large Kadak chai is 4/5 CAD. Parle G, Fab, Jim Jam all local Indian favourite biscuits available too. Along with pop like Fanta etc. 🍽️ There’s no service per se - everything is self serve. ⏰ The waits time for anything on their menu (except for the Bombay sandwich and chai) is 15 mins. The chai ofcourse is the quickest. Your buzzer beeps when your order is ready. 💺 The seating space here is around 20 plus people at once. May have high chairs available. 🅿️ Free parking right outside the commercial area in which it’s located. ♿️ Accessibility: Entrance does not have a ramp for wheelchair, door does not have accessibility features and pushing the door takes some effort for people with crutches or on a wheelchair. Restrooms not accessibility friendly and are for paying customers. ~Bon...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the customer service at this branch.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I’m a loyal customer of Chai Wala UK and was thrilled to find it here in Canada after moving from London last year. I’ve visited several branches across the GTA, and the service has always been fantastic—until now.
I visited this particular branch to grab two cups of tea: one pink chai and one karak chai. I always order sugar-free tea at other locations with no issues. However, to my surprise, the karak chai was full of sugar and the pink tea was served cold.
When I politely mentioned that the karak chai wasn’t sugar-free as I had expected, the staff member responded rudely and said I should have mentioned it earlier and would need to pay again for a new one. Despite her attitude, I went ahead and ordered again.
Then, when I asked if she could heat up the pink tea since it was cold, she very rudely replied, “You can throw it in the bin.” I had to ask her again before she reluctantly agreed, still without a single “sorry” or “thank you.”
The staff’s attitude was completely unprofessional and dismissive. If this continues, this branch is definitely going to lose customers. I, for one, will not...
Read moreClean and well-decorated place, however, the food quality is really bad and tastes bland. Karachi-style bun kabab is nowhere close to being called a bun kabab. The egg seems to be that liquid-boxed egg white that is used in pancakes etc. The patty and chutney inside were cold as if they were pre-cooked a long time back and just stored in the fridge. The kabab roll which was recommended was unpleasant as well. It appears that they take those ready-made kababs off the shelf and put them on ready-made rotis/parathas which are available off the shelf. Overall very disappointed especially with the price which is being charged. This is the issue with these places which have to recover the investment they made in the store and its ambiance but the core product simply lacks any quality. It is unfortunate, but I won't go again. I suggest the owner seriously think about food quality. This doesn't seem like Pakistani taste at all. If someone has to try true Pakistani/Karachi style bun kabab, try it at Zeerah restaurant and they would know the difference. I never usually leave feedback but I was simply too disappointed to not do this. I hope the owner can take this seriously and bring about the...
