In the middle of a very populated restaurant haven at Eglinton and Platinum Drive, on the border of Mississauga and Milton, you'll find that Nawab's lives up to its legendary tagline. For lunch, I had the combo #3 that had a chicken slider, a chicken tender and fries, all of which clocked in at $21 including tax. The chicken slider sounds small, but it is actually a thick cut of chicken, was very juicy and was covered in sauce (just the way I like it). Although the breading of the chicken fell off too easily, it was forgivable, as the breading was very crunchy and the sandwich was absolutely delicious paired with a fluffy bun, pickles and an acidic coleslaw to add to the tastiness! I got the chicken extra hot, which I was told at the counter wouldn't exactly knock my socks off, but the sandwich had a very nice spice level which was flavourful and packed some heat. If you like a messy chicken sandwich, you're in for a real treat with this sloppy bad boy, which reminded me of a Nashville Hot-style chicken sandwich. The chicken tender lived up to its name as not only was it very succulent but it was truly tender. The crunchy, well seasoned and gigantic chicken tender was a must try. Again, the breading slipped off a bit too easily but hopefully that was an anomaly. The fries were delicious and I had the option of salted or spiced. Obviously I opted for the spicy fries and I was pleasantly surprised that there was a nice little kick and they were tasty. Lastly, the star of the show was the ample, sweet "legendary sauce" that I used to dip my fries, slider and tender. When free sauce is hard to come by with restaurants like McDonald's now charging for this basic necessity, it's refreshing to know that even a sauce boss like me didn't run out of sauce while eating this sumptuous and plentiful meal. I already know that I'm going to hit up Nawab's again because the food was so delicious, but that legendary sauce will have me coming back again and again and again. It's hard to imagine that the chicken offerings were so good at this place despite the fact that chicken isn't the restaurant's only specialty. Nawab's boasts a menu with chicken tikka, pizza, burgers, momos and kebabs. I'll definitely have to try their other food options but it'll be hard not to come back without grabbing anything without their legendary sauce. Hands down, Nawab's should be on your list of restaurants to try as based on my experience, I had a 5...

Read moreA friend and I picked up takeout from Nawab’s Legendary BBQ at Ridgeway this past Saturday, and let me tell you it was a great choice. Nawab’s is known for its bold South Asian flavours and fusion dishes, and based on our experience, it lived up to the hype, most places rarely do.
We started with the malai tikka roll, which was fresh and flavorful. The chicken was tender, marinated with rich and creamy spices, and wrapped in a soft, rumali roti. Even as takeout, the wrap held up well, making it a satisfying choice.
The spicy tikka pizza was full of flavour and had the right kick of spice and comfort it brought was next level. The chicken tikka was juicy with a perfect kick, the crust had that crisp-yet-chewy texture, and the cheese brought it all together. I’ve read on other reviews that Nawab’s pizzas are underrated, and I wholly agree—it’s definitely giving 🤤.
To finish, we had the kesari pista badam milkshake at another friend’s recommendation. The shake was smooth, rich, and refreshing. The saffron, pistachio, and almond flavours blended well, making for a creamy drink that complemented the meal. I’ll have to try their karak chai next time, heard really good things about it.
Even as takeout, when found typically suffer, everything was fresh and well-made. Nawab’s is open 24/7, making it an easy pick for late-night cravings. This spot is definitely worth a visit no matter what time...
