Bruschetta Funghi (Dine-In): ★★★★★ Pollo Chicken Sandwich (Dine-In): ★★★★☆ Chef’s Alfredo (Dine-In): ★★★★★ Margherita Pizza (Dine-In): ★★★★☆ Italian Deluxe Pizza (Dine-In): ★★★★★ Tiramisu (Dine-In): ★★★☆☆ Drinks (Coffee, Cocktails, Mocktails): ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Ambiance: ★★★★★ Overall Experience: ★★★★★

Dine-In Experience: Our visit to Papa Giuseppe’s was an absolute treat—an ideal combination of comforting Italian food, warm hospitality, and the perfect spring patio setting. We initially sat indoors, but as the weather turned out to be just right—sunny with a gentle breeze—we moved to their covered patio, which was a fantastic decision. The patio is thoughtfully sheltered, so we could soak in the pleasant sunlight without being bothered by the wind. It added a lovely touch to the whole experience.

Food & Drinks: We started off strong with the Bruschetta Funghi, which was served on freshly baked focaccia topped with wild mushrooms, mozzarella, and parmesan. The finishing touch of truffle oil and fried sage made this dish an absolute standout—earthy, rich, and beautifully balanced.

The Pollo Chicken Sandwich featured a crispy fried chicken breast with mozzarella and pomodoro sauce on a soft Kaiser bun. We tried it with sautéed mushrooms. While tasty, it leaned more toward comfort than standout, but still satisfying overall.

The Chef’s Alfredo was a crowd-pleaser—luxuriously creamy with a well-balanced blend of cheeses and herbs, served over perfectly cooked fettuccine. It’s classic done right.

For pizzas, the Margherita was clean and fresh, with a great base and quality mozzarella, but could’ve used a touch more vibrance in flavor. On the other hand, the Italian Deluxe was loaded with hearty toppings—Italian sausage, bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, and onions—all layered beautifully without being overwhelming. This one stole the show.

Our drinks—including coffee, cocktails, and mocktails—were all well-executed. Refreshing, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care.

We ended the meal with their Tiramisu. It had a lovely creaminess and soft texture, but the cinnamon was a bit overpowering and slightly took away from the classic espresso-forward profile we were expecting.

Service: The service throughout was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced. The staff was proactive in helping us move outdoors and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout.

Ambiance: Between the cozy indoor vibe and the beautiful covered patio, Papa Giuseppe’s nails the balance of casual and charming. The ambiance is perfect for both a relaxing afternoon bite and an intimate evening out.

Overall Experience: Papa Giuseppe’s delivered a wonderful Italian experience—from flavorful, comforting dishes to top-notch service and a picturesque patio setting. Definitely worth a visit, especially while patio season is...

Papa Giuseppe is a cozy Italian restaurant that serves delicious food with a touch of traditional Italian cuisine. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you feel welcomed and relaxed. The decor is simple yet elegant, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

The menu at Papa Giuseppe is extensive and offers a wide range of dishes to choose from. Whether you are in the mood for pizza, pasta, or seafood, there is something for everyone. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for your money.

One of the standout dishes at Papa Giuseppe is the homemade pasta. The pasta is made fresh in-house, and you can taste the difference. The sauce options are plentiful, and each one is delicious in its own way. The pizza is also noteworthy, with a crispy crust and flavorful toppings.

The service at Papa Giuseppe is excellent. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to your needs. They make great recommendations and ensure that you have a great dining experience. The restaurant is also clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus.

Additionally, while the vegetarian options are somewhat limited, Papa Giuseppe is accommodating to vegetarians and vegans, and they are happy to replace meat with mushrooms or other vegetables to make a dish suitable for vegetarians. Despite the limited options, the substitutions are always delicious and flavorful, making the restaurant a great choice for herbivores and omnivores alike.

Overall, Papa Giuseppe is a fantastic Italian restaurant that is definitely worth a visit. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian cuisine or is looking for a great...

TL;DR: Decent Italian spot where you can stress-eat carbs while surrounded by Mississauga's brunch elite. Bring a female friend next time or embrace being that "weird solo pasta guy."

The spaghetti and meatballs was... fine? Like, it's pasta with meat spheres - hard to completely screw up but also not exactly reinventing the wheel here. The sauce had that "almost homemade but definitely from a jar with some extra stuff thrown in" vibe. Comfort food that doesn't ask too many questions.

Lasagna arrived looking thicc in all the right ways but committed the cardinal sin of being lukewarm in the middle. Nothing worse than that temperature purgatory where you can't tell if it's supposed to be hot or cold. Made me feel like I was eating leftovers I'd just impatiently rescued from the microwave.

The vegetable soup, though? Surprisingly legit. Had actual vegetables and everything. Tasted like someone's Italian grandma might have been in the vicinity of the kitchen at some point. Solid 4.2/5 on its own.

Service was weirdly attentive. Pretty sure the server thought I was either stood up or about to propose to someone who never showed. Kept asking if I was "still waiting for the rest of my party" until I finally had to admit that yes, I was indeed housing two entrees and a soup by myself on a Wednesday morning.

Bottom line: Papa Giuseppe's is the culinary equivalent of a shrug emoji. Not bad enough to avoid, not good enough to dream about. Perfect for when you want Italian food that won't change your life but also won't make you text your mom...

I walked in with no particular expectations and left with a wide smile and a belly singing with happiness. On my sober journey, I opted for the ginger berry spritz. It was sparkling, gently sharp, and delightfully caressing on the palate. Not once did I feel tempted or miss alcohol. It was that satisfying. My cousin had the sangria and absolutely loved it. To start, I had the funghi ripieni, and let me just say. I did not expect to fall in love. It was rich, flavorful, and almost too good. I couldn’t contain the happy noises, especially with that perfect drizzle of chili oil. Chef’s kiss. For the main, I went with the fettuccine del mare, swapping the original sauce for Alfredo. It was a brilliant choice: creamy, well-balanced, and honestly, like opera in my mouth. I’m generally easy to please, but this meal went above and beyond. My cousin had the smoked duck carbonara and is already looking forward to ordering it again. She looooved it. We ended with a doppio espresso :smooth and decent, a nice way to close the meal. To think I almost went to a grill place instead... I’m so glad I didn’t. This experience was far more memorable, the food, the atmosphere, the service... Everything was just right.
