I heard some friends talked about this new restaurant in several times. It's becoming the latest craze among Vietnamese communities. So we decided to give a try today.
The vibes, lights and decorations are pretty nice and fancy.
Their service is normal that their staff barely gave any introductions about the menus.
We ordered their shrimp rolls, beef rib noodle soup and grilled pork, spring roll, shrimp on sugarcane with vermicelli noodles.
The beef rib noodle soup is tasty and with a big portion. They gave two bowls, the one is with two beef bones/meat and much noodles, and the other bowl is with one bone with bone marrow, broth and some veggies. You can taste the soup with natural flavors and sweetness from bones and vegetables.
For the shrimp rolls, it's okay. The sauce wasn't surprised me. I can feel the shrimps aren't fresh.
For the grilled pork, spring roll and shrimp on sugarcane with vermicelli, it doesn't go into my fave list. I tried many Vietnamese restaurants before and really like the grilled pork or chicken with vermicelli because it's great for summer. However, I can feel and guess the grilled pork, spring roll and shrimp on sugarcane are premade and then are heated up when someone orders them. That's why they can give me this dish within 5 mins, and you can taste them are just warm not much hot. If the kitchen grill meat and deeply fry spring rolls immediately and freshly when customers order them, you can taste they should be super hot and should wait more than 10 mins. I'm not sure which ingredients aren't fresh and finally I had diarrhea...
Read moreWe’ve covered Pho Anh Vu before, but the food keeps us coming back — so of course we had to check out their Mississauga location. And as always, it didn’t disappoint. Warm, inviting, and bustling with that unmistakable aroma of fresh broth simmering, this spot felt like a little haven for comfort food lovers.
The location special was a standout: tender free-range chicken swimming in a clear, golden broth with rice noodles. Light yet deeply satisfying, it reminded us of why a good bowl of chicken phở feels like medicine for the soul. The pho tái was equally delicious, with rare slices of beef tenderloin slowly cooking in the steaming broth until perfectly tender, layered with fragrant herbs and fresh lime.
For something heartier, the bún gà nướng chả giò combined smoky grilled chicken with crispy spring rolls over vermicelli noodles — a dish that balanced textures beautifully, from the crunch of the rolls to the freshness of herbs. And of course, the chả giò on its own hit the spot: crispy, golden, and packed with flavour, perfect for dipping and sharing.
Pho Anh Vu continues to prove why it’s one of our go-to Vietnamese chains in the GTA. Every location feels consistent, with food that’s comforting, fresh, and deeply satisfying. Mississauga just gained another reliable spot for those cozy, flavourful bowls we can never resist. 🇻🇳✨

Read moreVery disappointing experience. The cashier was extremely rude. We only ordered 2 bowls of Pho Ga, but he charged us for 4 bowls and 2 drinks. When we pointed it out before paying, instead of fixing it politely, he got mad like we were the problem. He even told us to stand aside and wait 10 minutes while he served the next customers, as if it was our fault for noticing his mistake. This isn’t the first time either — it reminded me of his brother at the Dufferin location who pressures customers to leave tips. I had hoped this new location would be better, but it’s not.
On top of that, the prices are way too high for what you get: $21.99 for one bowl of pho with just 4 thin slices of chicken is definitely not worth it, the pho broth was very light with no flavor
On the first visit, one lady waitress pressured us to order more more items to “enter the prize draw to win the Gucci” which was very annoying. The worst part? They force customers into leaving 5-star reviews to enter the prize draw. A staff member literally grabbed my phone, gave themselves 5 stars, and told me to write something positive that didn’t reflect my real experience.
Between the rude service, overpriced and bland food, and dishonest review practices, I won’t be coming back and I don’t...
