A Satisfying Sushi Find for Date Night
My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Kibo Sushi House - Dixie during one of our recent date nights, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
We opted for a sushi platter to share, and it didn't disappoint. The pieces were decently sized, and we found ourselves pleasantly surprised at how filling they were (we even had leftovers!). It's always a relief when you order sushi, and you don't have to worry about leaving the restaurant hungry.
One aspect that stood out was the excellent customer service. The friendly cashier made us feel welcome and helped us navigate the menu. It's always a plus when you encounter staff who genuinely care about your dining experience.
However, it's worth noting that Kibo Sushi House - Dixie leans a little towards the pricey side, which might not make it an everyday dining option. While the quality and portion sizes justify the cost, it's something to consider if you're on a tight budget.
In summary, Kibo Sushi House - Dixie is a great find for sushi lovers, especially for a special date night. The platter was satisfying, the customer service was top-notch, and while it may be a bit on the expensive side, the overall experience was worth it. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5, and I'll definitely consider returning for another...
Read moreIf you're craving an unforgettable Japanese dining experience, this place is a must-visit. From the moment the first bite hits your palate, it's an explosion of flavors that leaves you wanting more. The standout for me was the Aburi sushi—it’s like an eye-opener to a whole new level of sushi. The slight char, the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of the fish, combined with a perfect blend of smoky and savory, was absolutely divine. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it, and it set the tone for the entire meal.
For someone who had never tried udon before, I was blown away. The seafood udon was packed with fresh, perfectly cooked shrimp, scallops, and mussels, all swimming in a rich, umami-filled broth that just felt like a warm hug for your soul. The beef udon? Equally amazing, with tender, flavorful slices of beef that melted as soon as you bit into them, paired with thick, chewy noodles that were cooked to absolute perfection.
Every dish here is executed with such precision and care. It's clear that the chefs are passionate about delivering the finest Japanese flavors. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, each plate is a delightful journey, with every bite revealing layers of deep, rich taste. Definitely a place I’d return to, time...
Read moreWanted to get a quick lunch so dropped by this place. Ordered an aburi scallop dragon roll and shrimp&vege tempura. First of all, I was shocked that the roll only came in 5 pieces... not even the full size roll. Guess I should've read the fine print that said "5 pcs" but when you order a la Carte sushi roll, you expect to get the full roll not just the half?? It's more like AYCE kinda portion. But it was my bad that I didn't read the menu properly so ok. But what really bugged me was how greasy the tempura was. All of them were drenched in oil and I had a mouthful of oil as I chewed a piece of shrimp tempura. Disgusting. Also some part of the tempura batter was not thoroughly cooked so it was wet doughy. Couldn't even eat more than 2 pcs. So next day, I put a shrimp and a squash tempura in the air fryer to get some excess oil out. I only put 2 pcs. It was a pure shock when I saw how much oil it collected on the liner and on my air fryer grill. Most AYCE places produce better food than here and deeply...
