Sunset Grill — Restaurant in Mississauga

Third review. My coffee mug had lipstick stains. I was wondering why the coffee was so oily and spotty looking; I almost drank it! 😫. I lost my appetite and couldnt eat my breakfast after that. Strike two! What is going on with this place??

I need to edit my review after eating breakfast here today. Myself and my daughter have been regulars for many years. Today was a big disappointment and I have dropped my rating by two stars. Service was bad today - we were seated right away but the server did not approach us for ten minutes. We ordered our breakfast, and also requested glasses of water with our coffee; we didn't receive our water and had to ask another server for water. The sausage was pink inside, and not cooked thoroughly, probably the reason for it being tasteless. I lost my appetite because of this and could not finish my breakfast. In the end, I did not leave a tip, period. We are on the look out for a new breakfast spot...Yes it took today to turn me off this particular Sunset Grill.

Sunset Grill (this particular one to be exact) is the only reliable and consistent breakfast place I've been to. We come here all the time. We may try a different place here and there, but we always come back to...

If I could give zero stars for this i would. Usually the food (take away or dine in) is pretty consistent and good. Recently had takeaway breakfast around 8 a.m on November 3rd/18 from here consisting of scrambled eggs. corned beef hash and toast. 4 hrs later what i had came back up, my body was in agonizing pain and as of today(Tuesday Nov 6th/18) am just starting to feel semi normal. Symptoms mirror food poisoning and I wonder if anyone else who ate there on Nov 3rd got sick also. Bottom line, hire cooks who know how to cook your food 100%, it's not a race to get it served and avoid any cross contamination. There is no excuse whatsoever for serving up something with such unpleasant consequences. Eggs are easy, so is corned beef hash so whatever contaminated my food that day should be internally investigated as I am seriously considering notifying the Peel Region Health Officer to investigate as nobody should ever have to experience this under any...

We had breakfast at this location today, July 26. We have eaten there before many times since it opened but boy has it gone downhill. There must be new franchise owners. I ordered the eggs Benny with crab cakes, all I could taste was filler no crab. The two pathetic asparagus spears were inedible. My husband ordered the Sunset sandwich which used to be served on nice thick toast. He got it on a hamburger bun, not a brioche bun as the server claimed. We asked to have it changed to toast but the bacon was so tough he couldn’t eat it. Our bill……wait for it was $47.00. What a ripoff!! People save yourself the expense and grief, go someplace else. The servers were not friendly, and all in all it was a terrible experience. We are done, never going back. It used to be a great place but it’s not anymore.
