I decided to try again this week. However, it was another disappointment. We arrived 8pm while the restaurant was not even half full. We were asked to seat at a table next to a big group of people. While there are a couple of empty tables on the other side, we asked if we could take the table on the other side as we didn't want to seat next to a big group. It was ridiculously being rejected. They said since they were closing at 9pm, the section is closed. I think it was only an excuse as it is not a big restaurant. The section they mentioned has no physical seperation at all and there was other guest still in the same section. The only reason could be that they didn't want to clean the table and the table they asked us to seat was close to the kitchen making them easily to serve. Honestly this is totally ridiculous and unacceptable from service perspective. This is the only reason I removed one star.
Moreover , all staff were wearing facemask except the one not on uniform. I think he is either the owner or the manager. The guy has a facemask but was wearing under his chin. I do not understand what the management concept is, allowing only the owner or manager not following the health guidelines. This is another reason for me to remove another star. Overall comment, I could get similar quality of Pho easily in Mississauga with a better and friendly services at a more reasonable price without having to tackle this kind of abnormalities.

Read moreThis restaurant is a MUST TRY!!! I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants in the GTA area but this is my favourite pho place. It takes me a hour to drive there, but it’s well worth it. The pho noodles are special because it’s done right, never overcooked. Each strand is slightly chewy and has a great texture. The broth is savoury with lots of depth. But what truly makes this restaurant stand out is that they have many other specialties items you rarely find elsewhere. Each time I have guests from out of town, I always bring them here. And the feedback is positive. They love the food as much as I do. I grew up eating Vietnamese food and my mom is the BEST chef I know. No restaurant will ever beat mom’s home cooking, but if you need a quick Vietnamese meal, this is the place you should definitely check out. Just by chance I was able to meet the owner of this establishment and right away I could tell he took pride in the quality of his food. He is Vietnamese and has a passion for the work he does. The restaurant is clean, spacious and the food is made with high quality ingredients. But what makes this place so special is the love and hard work they pour into each dish. Pride of ownership really shines through. And as a result of all my wonderful experiences at this restaurant and the amazing customer service I received, I can finally call myself a loyal customer now. Can’t wait until my next drive to Pho Black Bull (in...
Read moreWow. By far the WORST Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. Now granted, I’m from the states (Dallas/Houston TX) and am used to flavorful, authentic Asian food.
I even contemplated on leaving a review, wanting to chalk it up to a different experience in a different country but at the end of the day, the food really was BAD, I just HAD to share with my fellow Canadians.
We are a family of five.
We ordered:
Bo luc lac appetizer (shaking beef) and got served tiny little cubes of beef 👎🏼). It was like the food was chopped up for a toddler.
Bang xeo - tiny shrimp, plain and flavorless.
Chicken pho - dry chicken breast. Broth was okay.
Chicken & shrimp sugar cane in vermicelli - ended up getting dry, chargrilled (almost burnt) beef that was extremely overcooked. Heavy on the noodles. No peanuts and served with plain fish sauce.
Grilled pork chop rice plate with an overcooked egg. Pork chop was so overcooked and dry, I couldn’t even cut into it.
My husband and I received hot tea to drink when we got seated but had to ask for cups for our kids MULTIPLE times by different servers to finally get some. Ended our dinner with everyone’s water cups empty and no refills.
Save yourself the money, frustration and horrible experience and just dine...
