We went here for dinner last night and wasn't happy. The menu was printed on A4 papers and stapled together, with no menu cover. The pages were dirty with oil and food marks and torn in places. We ordered beef biryani, beef nihari & beef kebab, 3 latcha parathas and 2 pooris. After 15 mins they told us that beef biryani was sold out(there were a total of 5 tables occupied in the restaurant). It was replaced with chicken biryani. The food came after 45 mins of ordering, the beef nihari was 24$, we had 3 small sized pieces of beef in it, very dissapointing portion size. The beef kebab was shredded beef put in a small skillet. The chicken biryani was 24$, we got an underwhelming biryani with a quarter piece of chicken. The latcha paratha was dry, undercooked and undersalted. Same thing for the pooris. The pooris were drenched in oil and no puff in them. It looked like they were cooked in low heat oil. The server asked us how the meal was and we let her know that it was dissapointing. If they are charging these prices, the food has to be on point. I dont think we'll be going there again. Their best dish was the chicken pasta for the kids and their faluda was really good. Food was very dissapointing and not enough salt in the food. The servers also have a bad habit of wearing gloves, touching plates, garbage, doors, electronics and dirty utensils and bringing your food wearing the same gloves. Hope the Chef is not doing the same in the kitchen. All in all, 4/10 experience for us. Hopefully,...

⭐⭐⭐ 3/5

We visited Shashkey last year and tried a variety of dishes, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few hits and misses.

Bheja Masala is a highlight of the meal. Well-cooked, flavorful, and spiced just right without overpowering the delicate taste of the brain. Garnished beautifully with fresh coriander and chilies. Easily a 4/5.

Chicken Karahi was also another strong dish. Tender pieces of mutton with a rich, balanced gravy that paired perfectly with naan. Definitely worth ordering again. 4/5.

Nalli Nihari , unfortunately didn’t quite hit the mark. The presentation looked inviting, but the taste lacked depth and the consistency was not as expected. I would rate it 2/5.

Butter Chicken was also creamy and mildly spiced, quite decent overall but could use a stronger flavor profile to stand out. 3/5.

Lassi was served chilled in a traditional metal glass, it was refreshing but a little on the lighter side in terms of richness. 3/5.

Naans were soft, fluffy, and fresh from the tandoor, they were the perfect accompaniment to the gravies.

The restaurant offers a comfortable outdoor seating space, which adds to the dining experience, especially on pleasant days. The staff were hospitable, attentive, and made sure we were well looked after.

Overall, Shashkey is a decent spot for Pakistani cuisine with a few standout dishes like the bheja masala and mutton karahi. A bit more consistency across the menu could easily push it to...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shashkay in Mississauga, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! We started with the Gol Guppay and Papri Chaat, both of which were bursting with flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The Gol Guppay were crispy and refreshing, while the Papri Chaat was a delightful mix of tangy and savory.

For the main course, we tried the Zinger Burger, Parahi Karahi, and Chicken Biryani. The Zinger Burger was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, making it an absolute treat. The Parahi Karahi was rich and aromatic, with tender pieces of meat that melted in our mouths. The Chicken Biryani was perfectly cooked, with fragrant rice and succulent chicken pieces that made each bite heavenly.

To top off our meal, we indulged in the Matka Kheer and Falooda for dessert. The Matka Kheer was creamy and just the right amount of sweet, served in a traditional clay pot that added a rustic charm. The Falooda was a visual and gastronomic delight, with layers of vermicelli, rose syrup, and ice cream creating a perfect end to our meal.

The ambiance of Shashkay is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. This is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Pakistani cuisine in Mississauga. Highly...
