Food: I always been wanting to check out this place and finally did on a monday afternoon. I got the small jerk chicken meal and a large oxtail soup. It was $24.58 included tax. The jerk chicken meal was good portion, it has two pieces of chicken and one drumstick. Two tiny piece of oxtail. Salad is cucumber lettuce and carrot. I chose the rice which it was really favorful, large portion and not too soft or hard. The chicken has good texture, however, it could use more sauce either on it or on the side. The salad didn't came with dressing either which I saw some other reviews had. Now let's talk about the soup! The red peas oxtail soup was delicious! I got the large size since almost every review was saying how good it is. It has one large and one tiny piece of oxtail, a lot of potato/carrot, few pieces of dough(not sure what it is, tasted like gnocchi) in it. It has some spice in it, for a person that can't really take spicy, I have to stop every other 6 bites to let the spicy pass, but it was good spicy. Really wish for two medium oxtail pieces though, as it is hard to share with my boyfriend with a large and a tiny piece.
Interior/service: Walked in and it has a small window for you to pay and order. I was reading the poster on the wall as I didn't see any menu. Eventually I walked to the side where it looks like the buffet table and two ladies staff are prepping. One of them offered to take my order, however I was still trying to see if the small white board on the counter is the full soup menu, and the tv slides kept changing so I was trying to see if that is the menu. As it was showing an ad and drink menu after. I told her it is my first time here (hoping she would recommend something) and also mentioned I heard the oxtail soup is good, she didn't reply anything. I asked about if any of the soups have dairy in it? The lady looks like she doesn't understand . Then I repeated and asked if the oxtail soup has cream or milk in it? she said red peas. Then I got confused about if the red peas has dairy or the soup only have red peas in it. So... it seems like it doesn't have dairy it in.... as my stomach didn't end up hurting. I guess I'll never find out.
Parking: Free parking infront. Came on a weekday afternoon so plenty of parking spots. However, it is garbage everywhere.
The lady/cashier mentioned for every soup and porridge you purchase, collect 10 and you will get...
Read moreI wish to shout out a big THANK YOU to Andy the owner and the staff of Mississauga Souperlicious location.
Year 2020 I was very sick. I could not swallow or eat, after major surgery. I thought to myself, let me try ordering some porridge and soup. Well to my surprise I was able to take in the food. They had a variety of porridges and soups.
My friend works in Mississauga and leaves work at 3:00 pm. We live out of town. The 2 for 1 special starts at 5:00 p.m. therefore my friend would have to purchase at a higher rate. I called Andy and told him my predicament, and he helped me out. I have ordered 4 days worth of porridge and soup for the last year.
When I went to my doctor’s they could not believe how I was getting better so fast. I know it had to be Souperlicious, as they were the only foods I was eating.
Andy, the owner, customer service is outstanding. The people in the store are fabulous. My friend goes in, he gives them the phone and they provide my order and never a problem. I will always stand behind this establishment, as they brought back my health and no monies in the world can...
Read moreShould be a NO Star option. Horrible 1st Time experience. Definitely not going back there again. I came to try the highly advertised Ackee & Saltfish Burrito. They took forever to take the order when there was ample amount of staff standing around. Finally, after customers who only wanted soup got served before me, they started to prepare the burrito. They started massaging the food in the burrito before slopping it together. I highly recommend they go to an actual burrito spot and learn how to prepare a burrito. It’s not rocket science, until I saw them prepare it I realized it might be. The soup tastes like soup is supposed to taste like, nothing great. But the overall experience, will make me never go back again. Haven’t even had the desire to eat the burrito after watching how they prepare it. Such a shame that they are using Jamaica’s Good Good name for this audacity. Even heard Brampton location is better, so please Mississauga Souperlicious ask Your other locations for advice on customer service. And take actual burrito spots advice on how to roll a burrito without violating the food inside...
