So I had high hopes for this restaurant because of the reviews… my bf and i all didn’t go to our usual St. louis spot by Bramalea because the reviews showed us this place was amazing. it was not… it was the fake service that was provided, it was the fact that they kept bringing pre made wings (dry, barely any sauce, not hot). Got the all-you-can-eat wings. reasonable that the first set of wings took a while but then still got brought luke warm wings. Then we order another half pound which took a total of 24 minutes and still was brought pre made wings that weren’t sauced and got told we had to pay for extra sauce that was never brought…At this point the sun kept disappearing and it got cold so everything became unenjoyable. The fact that the person who brought the wings wasn’t our server and our server wasn’t even aware that they brought us wings.. like where’s the communication? I understand her job as a server is to speak with people but holy… she spoke so much to other people that i believe she forgot about us more than once because she’s too busy thinking about chatting rather than bringing folks their food. Btw we weren’t the only ones. I watched as she did this to other people. Gave the same EXACT speech to others. like that could’ve been changed because now i feel like her special treatment wasn’t so special. Then at the end when the bill was brought (because we had to ask another server to grab it for us since we couldn’t find ours), she then told us about some contest and leaving a review and whatever nonsense. Hence the 5 star reviews that were left here despite the not so good service… So i will not be entering that contest because i will be leaving a 1 star review and i will not be returning to this St. louis. I’m not going to speak for others, or down play their experience. I will only share mine. Our server was Sam btw. I can see she’s a great person and all but the service could’ve been...
Read moreThe night started off alright, but by the end of the meal, I had a sour taste. Came into the AYCE wings. Was seated for two immediately upon arrival. Waitress introduced herself, gave menus, and checked in on if we were ready to order in a decent time. Both selected AYCE placed order and received them in good time.
All the wings we had that night were excellent. The Dry Cajun, Mango Habanero, and Mississippi BBQ sauce/rubs are great.
Now, onto the decline. I've been to multiple St. Louis locations, this is the first one that I've been to that uses simulated bacon bits on their Caesar salad. I'm not necessarily against fakon it has its time and place, a Salad is just not one of them.
Next issue is that I had placed 2nd round order before my gf, when she went to place, she was told she can only place one order at a time for the AYCE, and we will have to wait till mine arrives for hers to be place. As the restaurant got busy at this time, and it took 25 minutes, for 4 additional wings to be delivered, this wasn't ideal. This is the only St. Louis, I've dined at where this was a thing. Earlier in the month and back in January when they had promotion, I went to different locations with 8 top each time, and their was never a delay in people being able to order additional wings at staggered times.
Furthermore, since the wait was long, my gf and I shared the wings that arrived, only to have the Waitress come by and say their is no sharing allowed. Um what? We are both doing AYCE at the receipt attached shows. If we want to share eachothers flavours, we are going to. Had only one of yes been doing AYCE. I completely understand, but in this case. I'm not sure if it was a lapse in memory or if the waitress forgot we both are doing AYCE, but it was rude and unpleasant.
I would just avoid this location if it's a first St. Louis experience. Better locations in Mississauga that don't cut corners on products...
Read moreI am reading about a contest for leaving a Google review so if this is true then here is my review: I went here last night with my wife who is in a wheelchair and immediately noticed the front doors were not accessible. Not sure how old the building is but it is also fairly small compared to other restaurants in the area so this might be why. Once we got in we had to wait a couple of minutes for someone to come to seat us in the back area which might have been the best spot for us even though people then had to squeeze around my wife's chair between the front and back areas. My wife complained about the cold temperature and noise level but we never mentioned it to anyone.
I had the AYCE wings and my wife had non-AYCE wings and I was warned I could not share mine which makes sense and I got boneless and sauces she would not like anyways. Our server Amy was nice and turned the Argos game on the TV above us but I had to ask for refills a couple of times. I noticed between the Sweet Chili sauce which is rated as 1 spice level and the Louis' 92 BBQ sauce which is a 2 there was a BIG difference in spice level (like from 0-3). I almost could not finish the last round. I know these are set by corporate but definitely needs to be looked at.
After we finished my wife went to the washroom and I sat at the end of the bar next to it but then she came right back out and said the stall is also not accessible for her. Again it could be because of the building's age but I cannot see my wife coming back here with me anytime soon unless...
