Visited the newly opened Scarborough location. I must say what a poor service and had a worst experience! We have been ordering from their main location but was looking forward to their dine in. Marathi manasala support karu hyach vicharani alo hoto pan alas.
Ordered a few items at first, drinks were missing for a while then ordered 3 chapatis which no one told us that a plate has 2 so you will get 6 chapatis im total. Got these chapatis after my husband and sister finished eating. Which was around 30-35 min! Had to go to main desk to check on my chaptis because no one was attending to us. Ordered takeout when went to the desk and takeout took another hour to be ready which consisted only khichadi and zunka bhakari. Which we had to again go to main desk to pick up.
Also, will suggest to add a post that certain dishes are not yet available. Mutton is not available. Jaljira is not available. People are coming with expectations and this turns out to be a biggest let down.
This location has issues with ventilation. We had no ac, no tan, no ventilation the entire time. My 20 month old daughter had turned red because of the heat.
And the worst part!!! owner has no courtsey to come out and talk when asked to talk. Own your business and fix if the customer has complaints! Dont hide in the kitchen. And we were not the only ones who wanted to speak to the owner on that desk.

Read moreTadka Marun left us thoroughly disappointed. The food was so oily that it leaked through the containers, drenching the bottoms and making a mess inside the plastic delivery bag. While we typically enjoy spicy food, this was overwhelming spice with no masala or flavour.
Having looked forward to trying this place for a while, it was a letdown. We tried the Kolhapuri Chicken, Malvani Mutton, Prawns Curry, Kombdi Vade, and Solkadi/Kokam Curry. Out of these, the only highlight was the Kolhapuri Chicken, which had huge chicken pieces and a delicious gravy.
The Malvani Mutton was a disaster—spicy with red chilli powder, devoid of taste, and the mutton was overcooked with fatty bits that had turned rubbery. The Prawns Curry was mediocre, with overcooked prawns and a curry overpowered by too much kokam. Kombdi Vade was just okay—dry with mild flavour. As for the Solkadi/Kokam Curry, it was a joke. It was more like glorified kokam water and definitely not Solkadi.
We had ordered via Uber Eats and will certainly not be ordering from Tadka...
