Chat Hut Sweets & Restaurant — Restaurant in Mississauga

I recently ordered from Chat Hut, lured in by their enticing offers and promotions. However, my experience turned out to be incredibly disappointing and left me feeling deceived.

To start with, the ordering process seemed straightforward, and I was excited about the potential for a great meal. The advertised deals suggested that I would receive not only good food but also great value for my money. Unfortunately, the reality was starkly different.

When my delivery arrived, I was shocked to find that it did not match what I had ordered. Not only were several items missing, but what I did receive was subpar at best. The food was cold, lacked flavor, and seemed hastily prepared. It felt as though I was being taken for granted as a customer.

Attempts to contact their customer service were equally frustrating. I hoped to resolve the issue or at least express my concerns, but I was met with unhelpful responses and a lack of accountability. It became clear that once they secured the sale, their interest in customer satisfaction dwindled.

In summary, Chat Hut’s offers appear to be a façade, enticing customers with promises they fail to deliver on. Was in the area shopping and went in for a bite. Had asked what the difference between all the thalis were, and the girl said just the bread is different, but the rest is same, you choose your curry/dessert. So I ordered Amritsari kulcha. I waited for my food. When I got it, they had already made the plate, and choose the curries and there was no dessert. Later she said they choose the curries and there is no dessert. The kulcha was nice, but the curries were of all different temperatures, some hot some cold. The potato curry was old stale, so hard that I couldn’t even put a fork through it.

I also ordered some sweets. Way overpriced. Who sells sweets per piece? And the sweets were horrible, hard, old. There was a hair in one of them. I was asked if I wanted it in a box or bag, i said box, because they would stick to the bag and get mushed up. I later realized I was charged for the box.

The place is untidy, I watched them refill the hot water under the food server. The water (dirty) spilled all over. They were wearing gloves, but wiping the dirty water with clothes that basically touched the food. They didn’t even bother to remove all the food and put it far, they just moved the food out of its place, but still in close proximity to the water.

We went to this place because our friend recommended it especially for Papdi Chat. However our experience was not top-notch. Firstly, we ordered ahead through Skip the dishes but when we arrived, it wasn't ready. We waited 35 mins outside in cold. (Yes, 35 EXTRA mins on top of our given pick-up time) That too because there was no management. They literally marked our order online as completed but it was never ready, they could've let us know that it's going to take time but no they rather chose not to care at all. Now food, Papdi Chat was good. (2 stars for that) But we ordered Vada Pav also which was wayyyyy toooo Salty and Tasteless. Apparently they don't know how to make one. :/ We can still ignore that but we are just so disappointed over their poor management. We saw people who came after us and received their orders. It seemed that they ask everyone what they ordered and then they check if it's mobile/online order and then they prepare. (then what's the point of pre-order!!! _
