Yalla Sawa feels like stepping into a time capsule from before my grandfather was born, with dĂ©cor so outdated it makes thrift stores look modern. The entertainment was just as bad a main singer who wouldnât survive the first audition of Arab Idol (for worst singers) and an oud player who went on for two hours straight, like a medieval soundtrack no one asked for. Service was an absolute disaster: 30 minutes just for water and juice, an hour for my shisha (which nearly made me throw up), my friend never got hers, and when mine finally arrived, it took another 15 minutes to get tiny scraps of charcoal. We were five people at the table but got food for two, and when we asked if that was all, they said yes. Meanwhile, a camera with a blinding light stand was constantly in my face I understand wanting some photos, and videos but this isnât a wedding and no one needs a full-time videographer filming every bite and cough. The owner runs the place from what I saw with just two overworked waitresses and two guys for charcoal duty, and despite barely eating, I still had to pay plus a ridiculous $65 cover charge. Overall, it was uncomfortable, overpriced, and downright miserable save yourself the headache, the stomachache, and the regret, and go literally anywhere else. They did remove the cover charge and the total came up to 74$ which is good but take a look at the pictures food is still the same barely my 2 friends ate from it and they wanted to...

The drinks came quickly but the cake didnt. I waited for over 45 minutes until a different waiter asked if everything was good, i said i ordered a cake and it never came. He quickly rushed away to check up on it, another 40 minutes passed, same waiter asked me if I got my cake I told him no and he was surprised. I told him i dont even want it anymore. An hour later i asked a third waiter if they had cake at the location, and then ordered one from him. Of course nothing came and i was there for at least another hour. Worst part was I noticed the table next to us get an order of cake, and that they put the cake on the bill when i went to pay at the end. Also the ice shisha is a plastic tube with two tiny plastic bags (like tiny freezies) filled with ice, except one of the plastic bags wasnt filled with anything just air, not even water.
Apart from that the waiters were nice and everything and the shisha quality was great but it's kind of funny actually that 3 different waiters couldn't manage to get me a cake within the span of 3-4 hours, especially after asking 4 times. The entire time I figured they just didn't want to own up to the fact that they didn't have cake in stock or something until I saw the table next to us get it. Pretty...
