Golden Dough Bakery & Grill — Restaurant in Mississauga

I am getting tired of misleading reviews on Google. They clearly need a better algorithm to weed out fake or totally inaccurate information. This place is not remotely special nor do they serve anything you may normally associate with a "bakery", although it looked like there was one in the back. Do not be mislead by the name, this is a shawarma place and not a good shawarma place either (similar to a Pita Land, not like an independent shop you would find around Warden and Lawrence). People who say the shawarmas are good have clearly never had a good one. Mine was small, had little texture, no complexity of flavour and had a thin grocery store like pita wrap. Besides the mediocre food, they lacked in some of the most basic "restaurant" areas. They serve tea, but did not have milk, they served fries, but did not have vinegar. They had a WiFi SSID, but apparently no WIFI for customers. I did not find the place welcoming and it certainly was not the 4 star treat I thought I might be getting for my autistic sister. The only thing I can agree with from other reviews is that the place looked fairly clean. If you want a good shawarma come to Scarborough, and if you want something that resembles a bakery restaurant, go to the Mariposa...

It was so embarrassing, while we are waiting for our food order, which contains 4 open cheese manakeesh and 4 closed spinach manakeesh and 1 open egg manakeeshand many hotdogs mini fingures manakeesh bar-do... yummy..... let's go back to the embarrassing funny part, while we where waiting for our food order mentioned above in details ☝️😉🙏 the restaurants' door opens and a nice family entered running in from the cold freezing weather outside in Canada, a man, his wife, and 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. They look like twin girls and twin boys , while warming up to order, the man headed to the cashier, with a smile, the moment he wanted to start his order ... a lady behind the counter wearing weird red color shouted and asked the family to finish thier drink "Tim Hortons Coffee" outside the restaurant since they cannot drink it inside and when the gentleman asked why? The lady behind the counter with a different red, said, we sell coffee here, so you cannot drink your "Tim Hortons" coffee here 🤣🤣🤣🤣😝😜😛

That was so embarrassing for him, his wife and 4 so cold so hungry kids and was so funny 👎 for us .... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡 we never saw such a "stupid and funny" customer service ever never never never before ... imagine doing that...

The reason for the one star rating, due to repeated frustrating a terrible service regarding the girl the with blue contact lenses actions, don’t mind to say that this is laziest and unprofessional employee I’ve ever came across.

Every time I come with my family she screws up our order, and I do mean every single time plus when I come to order alone I’ve I ask for some specific toppings she does not bother writing anything down and does what she pleases.

If she worked under our roof I’d fire her in a heart beat, she’s hurting the restaurants owners business by her actions and terrible service.

I did not want to do this but she actually pushed it today with my employees waiting and she ends up making the wrong sandwich with the wrong toppings, wasted our time, we left no lunch and she acted like it was completely normal!

This type of effort is sickening, the food doesn’t taste the same consistently and oh ya what kind of falafel and shawarma place can’t make you fresh falafels upon order, the chef has to be there ??! It’s not a rocket since its falafels…
