Booked this place for a group of 15 to 20 co-workers, and they placed us at a long table with was excellent. Overall the food was great, and no one had complaints except, for some of the dishes like the Bowls which did not have enough sauce, most vegetarians that took that dish had to ask for a side of sauce to add. I took their burgers and it was good just a bit dry compared to my preference (I prefer my meat well done typically so I'm used to it) but nothing to complain about, their fries are amazing with the seasoning they have on them. For a large group, they did amazing as all the food was coming out at the same time and everyone received what they ordered so no missed orders. Our waitress was extremely nice, I would come back here. If you love fish, my suggestion is to get there Brown Bag Fish and Chip as everyone at the table that took this one loved it.

Beautiful day on their patio. Although road construction near by was bit annoying. Was only going to have a beer and appetizer. Had the mushroom toast. This was delicious! Decided to stay for dinner. Had the fish n chips and hubby had the burger. Fish was very good but their fries seasoning was way too salty for me. Asked for water but the server didn't bring it and never returned. Also had previously mentioned it was my husband's birthday... thought perhaps a free dessert. Nope. Mentioned it again to the next server and still nothing. I went inside to pay and the second server went to the table to bring the bill when he clearly saw me waiting inside to pay. That was weird. Not the greatest service but the food and beer were good.

Gahan House has a few locations across the Maritimes and this was my first time going to any. They have a vegan menu which alone makes me impressed. It’s a beautiful restaurant inside and they have a nice large patio as well. Special shoutout for their bathroom stalls! I ordered the sweet potato tostadas and had the spinach salad on the side. The food was fair but I didn’t find it was super flavourful but I give them props for creativity. I also had the vegan carrot cake for dessert and that was delicious! I really loved the candied walnuts on that and in the spinach salad and the blueberry vinaigrette on the salad was lovely. Our waiter was really nice and answered the couple questions I had easily.

This was my first time dining at this Gahan House and it was a great experience. Our Server was Mackenzie and she was such a delight. She gave great recommendations and was overall very friendly in each interaction. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great; whether you're on a date or out for a family meal. Although the lights on the left half of the dining room could have been a touch brighter. Music level wasn't too loud either, so you could actually hear your conversation.

For drinks we ordered the Purple Rain and the Blueberry Lavender Margarita - both were delicious. The Pretzel Bites and Queso were recommended as a starter and were delicious as well. The queso could have been a touch creamier but overall we were satisfied with it. Our mains were by far the best part of the meal. We ordered the Sweet Potato Tostada and the Pork Belly Tacos. The tacos were some of the best pork belly tacos I've had. The tostada is a great option for someone looking for a non-meat dish that isn't just a salad. The pickled beet salad was delicious and is quickly turning into a favourite of mine.

Overall, we had a great experience and we will definitely be back in the...

A group of about 20 coworkers (all in the food and beverage industry- servers, bartenders, restaurant managers) "booked" a table a few weeks in advance at Gahan House. We were told when we called to book that they couldn't do formal reservations yet as they had just opened, but still took note of our group and placed an informal reservation. When we arrived, our group was seated at two seperate tables. There was a room off to the side with one large table that we asked if we could switch to but were told they did not have the staff to accommodate, even though it was only a few feet away and the same number of people. When we suggested pushing tables together, they seemed unwilling to accommodate. On the plus side, drinks and food were served quite fast. It would have been helpful to have two servers present to take payments considering the side of the group. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the beer was fantastic - especially the raspberry sour. Overall, considering the amount of money our group spent in total and the notice we have the restaurant, it would have been appreciated to have been able to all sit together for our...

My wife and I very much enjoyed our dinner there for Valentine's. We wanted something different, and she had previously eaten there before and suggested it. The food was great, the server was awesome, and visited our table just the right amount of times. She wasn't overbearing as they sometimes are in other restaurants.

The price was very fair for what we got.

I would give it 5 stars, all except for one factor. The debit machine they use. I was planning on giving a tip regardless. But then, when the tipping screen came up, there were labels attached. I don't remember the amounts (10%, 14%, 18% and so on, I think). But there were labels attached to the amount you were tipping. 10% - thank you, 14% - good service - good tipper, 18% - great service, awesome tipper, and so on. I see this as tipping manipulation. I may be petty in this, but this was a turn off, and probably won't be coming back due to this manipulation. I was planning on giving a modest amount, however, when I saw the labels, it made me feel that I had to give bigger, otherwise, we would look like we didn't care for our server. Which again, she...
