I went into this store at St George St. in Moncton today to get lunch. I ordered the Ham and Cheese meal, which states is $7.59 on the screen in the store. When I finished the painful task of repeating what I want several times to the young man taking my order, I am told the total comes to over $13.00. I then ask the young man to explain how it is so expensive, when it says the meal cost $7.59 on the screen. He says he does not know, it must be an old price. I tell him that the most it should come too is $7.59 plus tax which would be $8.73. If it is an old price, it would be several years old. I asked for his boss and he turns to a young woman and talks with her. she leans back, looks at the sign and says that it must be an old price and never acknowledges me at all. I told him to forget it, I don't want it and just got a coffee and donut. I am seriously thinking of boycotting this chain in future. Another thing, is the cleanliness of the store. I notice there is little effort in keeping tables and floors clean, and as we left I noticed the garbage and recycle was overflowing. I suggest that Tim Hortons look at these franchises they associate their name with and make their owners do a better job of hiring competent staff especially supervisors. And one last hint, have a person taking orders at the till, understand the English language!! Before anyone suggests I am racist, I suggest you go to this store, and try and place an order without repeating yourself...
Read moreAwful coffee. Even if they get your simple coffee order right(which they dont, they constantly forget to add sugar, stir it, put enough cream, coffee grinds in it, etc) the new staff this past year brews the most awful coffee. When my noname instant coffee starts tasting better then fresh brewed coffee theres a serious issue. Been going on for a year now they clearly know they just dont care, all the owner has to do is go trough the drive thru a couple times & order the same coffee.... they will all taste & look different. Oh did I forget to mention they also refuse to make good hot chocolate & french vanillas? They are usually diluted & tasting like water because they dont do their job, they know the machine is clogged they just dont care & continue serving, when my hot chocolate looks like semi transparent murky water they knew it they just dont care. Use to have some competent staff but currently that hasnt been the case etiher that or the one teaching them has no clue what they are doing. Been buying from them for years on a daily bases, but i...
Read moreI have been a regular customer at Tim Hortons, visiting daily with my wife, Steff, but lately, my experiences have been disappointing and concerning. I’m a proud Canadian who only speaks English, yet every time we visit, the staff are speaking to each other in another language. It often feels like there’s no management control over what’s happening behind the counter.
Instead of creating a welcoming atmosphere, the employees are laughing and talking amongst themselves in a language I don’t understand, which can feel uncomfortable. It makes me wonder if they’re discussing or even laughing at customers. This situation has reached a point where my wife and I no longer feel safe or comfortable in this environment.
I believe Tim Hortons should prioritize creating a welcoming, professional environment for everyone. We’d love to continue supporting this location, but some changes are necessary for us to feel valued...
