All I can say is, TERRIBLE. Was hoping to enjoy some nice sushi in St. Jovite, however Le Sushi Shack was not the place to experience this. We should've read the reviews before hand as it is clear how arrogant the owner of this restaurant is as they immediately become defensive to the slightest bit of constructive criticism.

After going to maaaanyyy sushi restaurants in Toronto (both high price and low price), Le Sushi Shack isn't even on the same level as any of them. It was the first sushi restaurant where you don't even see the chefs make your rolls which should've been sign #1 for us to leave.

We ordered 4 Poke bowls (2 salmon, one tuna and one chicken) and a california, spicy salmon and tuna roll.

To start, prices are extremely expensive for what you receive. $75+tax for the bowls and $30+ tax for the rolls, for it to come in PLASTIC plates?!!!! The bowls were below average, as the presentation was just the ingredients beside each other in the bowl. Salmon, Peppers, tempura, and rice, thats it. The chicken bowl was the worst. It was completely drenched in sauce to a point where it was inedible.

After wanting to return the bowl this is where I became the most upset. The girl working at the cash said that they would make a different bowl for us, which we accepted her offer. This time I exchanged for a salmon bowl. However, when I went to receive the bowl and pay the 4 dollar difference, an older lady which I assume to be the owner or manager said that I would have to pay the ENTIRE 20 dollars for the new bowl!! I told her that I did not want the bowl anymore then she said its ok for me to pay the difference. Why not just say that from the start?

So those were the bowls and now we have the rolls. DISGUSTING. First of all the spicy salmon rolls came as spicy tuna. We didn't even complain as I figured it just wasn't worth it. The tuna rolls were dark. I've never seen darker tuna in my life. It was hard and had a fishy smell. We threw away half of the roll. Lastly the california roll was also gross. They use imitation crab and charge high prices, like what??

To Le Sushi Shack's owner. You need to start taking this feedback as a learning experience instead of negative reception. You need to either improve the quality of your food or lower the prices as paying 200$+ for food that comes in plastic is highway robbery. Hope to see you improve but I also wont be surprised to see your place shut down when I re-visit Quebec...

During our three-day stay in Mont tremblant I decided to have a sushi 🍣 dinner. So, I found this sushi bar which is located at mont tremblant downtown. The menu flyer was available next to the entrance and it was very organized. If you've been lost in sushi menu before you'd get me. I picked some small sushi of smoked salmon and shrimp 🍤tempura. Then I added more big sushi.

The price is really reasonable, and quality is perfect. You can feel the amazing taste of the sushi. The smoked sushi had a real smoke taste. The shrimp tempura usually comes frozen and when you defrost it, it get apart on cutting. But, in their sushi everything was perfect.

Not too many sushi restaurants are brave enough to place the sushi vertical in the tray without supporting it with edge of the dish or other sushi slices from sides.

As you can see in the picture the put it vertical and they stay nice and decent 👌.

The amount on Wasabi was little less that I was expecting but it's because of me. It would be enough for more than 90% of people.

The ginger pickles wasn't didn't look fresh to me.

I'd strongly recommend this place for those want to start eating sushi or looking for a great quality of sushi.

I'd definitely go back there to try other type on...

All the 5 star reviews of this place have got to be fake accounts. We went in because it had the best reviews on Google but it was the worst experience. We got in and there was only one couple ahead of us. We ordered a very small amount (15 maki rolls in total...literally just a snack). We waited 20 minutes without saying anything. Again, there was two of us and one other couple only in the restaurant and 3 guys working. We waited another 20 minutes. At this point, it was getting ridiculous as we had such a small order. 10 minutes later, we decided to go up and ask where we were in the queue as it had been 50 MINUTES. The guy looked around and said "oh uh what did you order again?" And when we told him, he said "oh it just needs to be cut." We waited another 10 minutes until they finally came. That's a total of an HOUR before we got 15 measly maki rolls that I honestly could've gotten at a supermarket for better quality. Whoever is making up these reviews saying really fast service and really excellent quality...

As much as I want to give this place a good review, I honestly can’t. The workers were very nice but I can’t justify the price of the “poke bowls” or the sushi. I understand trying to establish a sushi place in a small town is hard, even if it’s expensive to buy fish, the menu shouldn’t be this expensive for the type of food you are receiving. To start, the portions were not filling, plus the poke bowls are missing essential components. Their “poke bowls” are more similar that to the Basil Box bowls. Which aren’t poke bowls at all. The picture of the salmon poke bowl below is their “large” option, but the flavours aren’t there. Usually the poke comes with a variety of flavours (spicy salmon, honey ginger salmon, spicy tuna, shoyu salmon, etc.). I’ve attached a picture of a typical poke bowl for comparison. I mean no harm with this review and I hope they improve.

So freaking good!!! We called for takeout and asked for a meal for 2, which they don't have on the menu. Told them to make us whatever, around 40-50 pieces and surprise us. The chef did not disappoint! Everything was so amazing! The shrimp tempura rolls were insane delicious. I'll seriously be dreaming of this dinner until the next time we return to Mont Tremblant and can call in for our next surprise platter for 2. Here's some photos of our platter!!!
