Remarkably rude and condescending customer service.

I never leave reviews good or bad on google, because everyone has good days and bad days in life .And on google, you can see a wide variety of 1-5 star reviews on an establishment but it doesnt neccesarily equate to the whole experience or the truth, just the particular individuals take on a place. That being said I usually take reviews with a grain of salt.

However for the first time in my life a bad review is called for. Not because i want to ruin a business, but because this establishment should absolutely not be in business serving the general public under any circumstance.

We kept things really simple and ordered pork chow mein and general tao, not the most complicated dishes but were not picky with our food nor were we expecting gourmet cuisine, just a regular meal. We asked the waitress to bring the general tao without pineapples as one of people in our party is alergic. To which the waiter nodded her head and said “ok no pineapple”.

10 minutes later they brought the dish, with pineapple. However it wasnt a big deal nor were we going to make it out to be because, the person in our party decided to just eat the noodles instead of the general tao so no fuss was made and we let it slide.

Something wasnt right about the general tao. When you bite into it, it wasnt chicken, it wasnt beef and it wasnt fish. It wasnt any sort of meat at all, yet on the menu it claims to be chicken.

I cut a few pieces open and had to try 1 or 2 to understand what it was. It was just flower with no chicken at all.

I thought this to be misleading advertising as the menu clearly states “chicken” It was not.

So i called the waitress over and asked a simple question. “Excuse me, is this chicken?”

To which she looked me straight in the eye without blinking or thinking twice and responded “yes”.

I said “I dont think it is, here take a look at this.” I cut it open to show the the spongy texture in the middle, which meat of any kind does not have.

The waitress infuriated, blew up on me adamantly stating that it was indeed chicken and if i wanted she would show me her “japanese supplier” and that this was “japanese chicken”.

I knew she was chinese, i myself am chinese so i switched the conversation over to cantonese so she would perhaps understand where i am coming from.

I told her that this couldnt be chicken and i could prove it to her and because i was falsely advertised too, i wouldnt be paying for this dish (which was a over priced $17 dollars).

She gets infuriated stating that im the only person to ever step foot in her establishment of 10 years and complain to her about her food.

She got extremely agressive extremely quick. I never intended to pick a fight just to receive some clarification about what i was eating.

She says all quebecoise people love her chicken and never complain and that you”re the only one to ever complain in 10 years. To which i respond “If i am the first person to complain about your food, then so be it. Im not ashamed because this is not chicken and your lying to me telling me it is. And i am not quebecoise. If the quebecoise dont know what chicken is and they enjoy your food thats fine. But im not quebecoise, i know this is not chicken and i dont believe it right that i should pay for this.”

She tells me this is the same “chicken” as mcdonalds and that it is japanese and its not her fault for receiving her supply from a japnese supplier and that this is how they make their chicken.

I couldnt reason with her, she just didnt get it. It was somehow “my fault” that i didnt like it. Not that i didnt like it, you advertised that this is chicken, it was not, so i will not be paying for it.

We payed for the noodles and left.

Never have i been disrepected at any restaraunt in my life across Canada and across the world.

Please dont eat here, save your money(its extremely over priced) there are tons of other businesses in the area that are worth your time and hard earned money.

They are...

Feb 25,2022 I returned to this sushi place for take-out again as I had such a good experience last time and the sushi is so good. This time I ordered the 10-piece sushi ($12.99). The sushi pieces are very large - I have attached a picture. The tuna used is very very fresh. There are little shrimps in it. Rice, shrimps, tuna are extremely fresh soft and tasty. Ms Ah-Lin made them personally. She must have the magic touch. These are the best sushi I ever had. Their sauce is super delicious. They make it themselves. I also got a can of green tea and some seaweed packages. And also they have really nice good quality fortune cookies. Such friendly staff too. They make my day. I can’t wait to go back for more sushi !

Nov 17,2021 I’ve finally found a good sushi place in Mont Tremblant. I’ve ordered 20 pieces and I got 3 extra pieces. I chose the salmon and Tuna combo. The sushi are all freshly made after I’ve ordered. The fish is very fresh and the sushi is very tasty. The owner Ms Ah-Lin is very health conscious. Everything is kept really clean. They have cans of green tea that are only available there and not in any supermarket. Ms Ah-Lin is very friendly. She has a lot of Japanese cheffing experience from Montreal. This will be my go-to sushi place from now on. They food is SOOO GOOD. I have to go back and try her other stuff. Can’t wait. This is a sure...

They didn’t have multiple items that was on their menu because they wanted to “concentrate” on their high quality sushi. The sushi was horribly made: the rice was all stuck together on the plate, every thing was falling off the moment it was in contact with the chopsticks. They gave me sushis without any soy sauce (which is weird because they gave me two prepackaged tiny bags of wasabi). Wouldn’t order back from the place: food is bland, badly made and they don’t have the food they advertise. Everything was sadly funny.

Edit: And as you can see below, the owner does not only know what he’s talking about (as I was not inside the restaurant so couldn’t possibly have had a “bad behaviour “ but he or she also doesn’t know how to respond to bad reviews and prefer to “BAN” people who were already not coming back. Btw, I know sushi rice is sticky, but all the sushi’s shouldn’t be stuck together and then come a part when picked up. All the...

We love ethnic foods and when we are in the city, we always try out new dim sum, sushi, ramen etc. However being up in the laurentians makes your choices for ethnic food verrrrry limited. So this place hits the spot as long as your expectations are not too high. It’s clean and decent. I don’t recommend the fried dumplings as I found the wrapper texture to be powdery/not great. Should have ordered them steamed. Shiu mai was interesting! Smaller and different than usual but tasty. Unagi (one of our favs) was on the tough side - not melt in your mouth but flavourful enough. Spicy shrimp spring rolls were also good on flavour but didn’t have any tempura or extra yummyness in filling. Décent food overall for a ski village in rural Quebec :D

My wife and I had dinner at Sushi Ah Lin during our stay in Mont Tremblant, and we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the seaweed salad, fried tempura shrimp, and chicken fried rice — and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, the portions were generous, and the presentation was spot-on. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. On top of that, the pricing was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and craving Japanese cuisine!
