We walked in as a family of 5, which seemed to be too many because we were made to feel unwelcome right from the jump. We waited while every other table, including those who walked in and ordered after us, got their drinks and we didn’t. None of the orders came out right. For reference, this is the French toast with whipped cream (missing and brought later, but not good at all) and fresh fruit (half a clementine). The owner was NOT receptive to feedback and was incredibly rude. As we left she kept saying LOUDLY and very sarcastically that she hoped we’d have a nice day.
Hate to throw a negative bone out there to a small business, but this was truly a horrible experience. By far the worst we’ve had on the island or anywhere else for that matter.
**Edit: We were kind and polite and offered to accept a small table for 5 and squeeze together rather than inconveniencing anyone. After everyone around us got drinks, we did ask the waitress if we could get our drinks because she was catering to everyone but us. We did get impatient after we waited and out of 5 orders, not a single one came out with what we asked. We ARE kind people and always strive for treat people with the kindness and patience they deserve, and we do get it back everywhere we go. The owner did not deserve it after the way she was speaking to us. A solution was NOT offered. The fact that you cannot see how rude and condescending you were to us is an even bigger problem. Good luck with...
Read moreMost say this but you can look back on my sharing history. I rarely share, mostly cause I’m lazy, but when we visit a spot that is so on point or unique I have to share. Mostly golf. So now to food: I fight it cause I don’t want it to unique yummiest crowded, but What’s Good Bistro deserves people knowing the quality of the ingredients, the chef, the service! My father and I found this spot on a whim on the NFL fairy. And because of those reviews we went. Thank you all for those great notes and darn accurate, it made us come to the restaurant. Yes this place has a hairstylist in the front, but right behind is an amazing chef, flavor builder. Then one of their friends laying it out to you straight and making a culinary totally local experience. Loved this place so much, I am working to bring our next trip...
Read moreI’ve noticed that the breakfasts tend to be quite greasy, and unfortunately, the smell clings to my clothes and hair after I leave the restaurant and for the rest of the day.
Also, the waitress offered to refill my tea by pouring hot water directly into the same cup. Proper refill tea service usually involves a fresh cup and a new tea bag with hot water, which I would have appreciated.
Overall, the service felt lacking—waitress seemed tired. I hope this feedback is helpful and taken in the spirit of...
