We were travelling through Montebello, and found this neat little spot via Google search. I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed with everything about our experience here! The owner, Leo, greeted us warmly and immediately made us feel like we were at home. He's incredibly friendly, welcoming, and has the ability to talk to anyone; one minute he was joking around with children at a nearby table, the next, he was complimenting me on my tattoos. Being someone who suffers from many food allergies, I often worry about dining out. Our host was highly knowledgeable of all the ingredients on the menu, made fresh, in-house. He even mentioned details, such as an item on the menu containing trace amounts of butter! So refreshing when someone takes the time to makes you aware of these little details, that most would consider insignificant. I had the mouth-watering Salade de Chantal, which features basil, pine nuts, cherry tomatoes and strips of pork tenderloin. My partner had the daily soup, and lentil tacos. I highly recommended this place to anyone passing through Montebello. You will be pleased...
Read moreWe recently visited this restaurant as it was close to the Fairmont. It was SO good we ended up coming back the next morning and would come back again if they were open tomorrow (Tuesday).
The eggs Benny on the weekend are not to be missed. We had the classic as well as the blue cheese and bacon. Both were so flavourful and delicious.
The second day did not disappoint with the French toast and the omelet. I could eat that omelet every day for the rest of my life and be a happy camper.
The food was magical but what was even more incredible was the hospitality. Leo and his team were so beyond lovely, we had great conversation the entire time. Our daughter enjoyed interacting with the staff as well as the guest of the restaurant.
We will no doubt be back to visit next time we are even remotely close to the restaurant.
Thank you for such a lovely experience.
We arrived early both days and got a table no problem but the restaurant definitely filled up on the first weekend so come early to make sure you get to experience the magical experience that is Le...
Read moreIf I could give Erick and Coralie 10 stars I would! We were thinking of heading right home with an 8 hour drive ahead but my love convinced me that a hardy breakie would be the answer to surviving the long drive and the trials of making it through Toronto. Boy, she was right! We were greeted by Coralie in french and our faces must've let her know and she said, would you be more comfortable in English? Such a nice way to treat someone. We sat outside on their delightful and shaded patio and enjoyed perfectly cooked food. I opted for the tres gro breakfast and I had the local wild boar sausage and the upgraded sourdough. The sausage was scrumptious but the bread was nothing to write home about. Thankfully, every other bite was on point, perfect bacon, eggs eggsactly as I asked, even the home fries were the best I have had in ages. My bride enjoyed the cinnamon bun french toast with local maple syrup and home made jams, they bring a tray of selections. For anyone in the area or tricked into a meal they feel like they don't really need,...
