We came here for our 7-year wedding anniversary dinner.

Hubby opted us in for their 6 course tasting menu. He loves a good surprise but only when it comes to food.

The first two dishes were a delight since it would have been the two appetizers we would have chosen before deciding on the tasting menu. Both are very good dishes! Pickled green strawberry with scallops and compressed watermelon with trout, who would have thought those go together but just wow!

The two other dishes were good. Duck carpaccio and beef tenderloin.

There was only one dish we did not enjoy. Rich, salty, and overpowering flavors. This was their foie gras poutine.

We finished with their chocolate dessert with mushroom ice cream. This dish was pretty good however a bit heavy for a finisher. I think the dessert would of been good without the large cube of chocolate ganache. Perhaps the chocolate crumble, mushroom ice cream, poached pear and some raspberries.

The service was just so so. There was only one other table, but somehow he forgot our order of sparkling water and to bring new cutlery for our next tasting.

This place is a try once, and I'm good...

We chose this place as one of the highly rated restaurants. But the customer service we received was far from it. The server directly asked where we are originally from as we didn't look white. We didn't want to make it a big deal and continued talking nicely with him. My partner then found out a piece of hair in her food. We waited for 5 minutes for our server to get back to us, but he didn't pay attention. We showed the hair to another person. He took my partner's dish, and after 10 minutes of waiting, we got a much smaller portion of the same dish without any apology. When our server came back to us with bills, we mentioned the issue to him, and instead of just apologizing, he tried to justify why he didn't know about the issue. One of the tenderloins we ordered also was not medium, as we ordered, but we didn't bother mentioning that with such terrible customer service. Anyway, if you care about good behavior and customer service whole enjogykn good food, don't...

We went for dinner at Le Napoleon and without exagerating, it is one of the best culinary experiences we've ever had in Canada. We were staying for a night in Montebello so we decided to walk around and find a place to have dinner at. The food was excellent, delicious and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was cozy, charming (the restaurant is also an art gallery) and the music playlist was to our taste (a little bit of everything). The service was somewhat quick, given the complexity of the dishes. The waiter was very polite and friendly. I cannot stress enough how delicious the food was, the best orzo I've ever had. The presentation of the plates better than most 5 star restaurants. As for the value, it is reasonable for what is offered. This place is a gem. Definitely worth the 1hr drive...

We really wanted to like this restaurant unfortunately the food and service were both suboptimal. Everything took a very long time. I think there was only one waitress waiting tables for the whole evening and she's probably trying her best but barely came by the table. Food was very very expensive for the quality/ quantity. The mussels did not taste fresh, the tenderloin was tiny and overdone (we asked for medium and it came out well-done, no pink whatsoever in the center). Fries were very salty. The salmon was the only satisfactory dish, but then we found a piece of hair in the accompanying arancini :S We told the waitress and she said she'll let the chef know and then just never came back again. Overall very disappointed and won't be back.
