Fast food spots can get a lot of flack for all sorts of things and they have to deal with odd requests and all types of customers ever single day. It can’t be easy to stay patient and cordial.

I would like to take this opportunity to mention Hasty - who was serving the counter and stayed even keeled while answering many questions about the menu and other details that were not super clear. Bravo and a gold star for that.

Part two of the sincere appreciation goes out to Balrhj (a supervisor) who made a very kind decision and did something the world could learn from and needs more of; with compassion. It wasn’t for me, but someone I mentioned had asked for something on a very hot day. Without getting into details another bravo and gold star is in order here.

Briefly on the food - their breakfast sandwiches are by no means gourmet but they are freshly made and warm, served in a brioche-style bun and hit the spot when in need of a quick energy and protein boost.

PS On a recent visit, I specifically noticed the conscientiousness of Myra who was multi-tasking by serving various customers at the counter and then later cleaning up in the back dining area. All while maintaining a pleasant demeanor and smile. Very impressive!

On Saturday, June 28, 2025 was the third time we picked up burgers from the A&W at 5150 Sherbrooke St. West in Montreal, Quebec.

We ordered simple burgers. One with cheese, bacon and onions and another one a double burger with cheese, bacon and onions. Well for the third time the burgers were wrong. There were pickles, sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and one of the burgers was not even a double. On the Bill it even says no sauce, etc.

I would think it is easier to leave condiments off than to put them on burgers.

We scraped off as much as we could but we did not remove all of the condiments.

Perhaps one day they will get the order right.

Fourth time.

I guess we are just glutens for punishment.

So, we tried for a fourth time. We picked up burgers from the A&W at 5150 Sherbrooke St. West in Montreal, Quebec.

We ordered one trio, two teen burgers and one Papa burger all with just cheese and onions and if bacon came with it, also the bacon.

Again, order was wrong. The trio burger was all dressed, two teen burgers had lettuce tomato and under the cheese pickles and papa burger was just cheese and bacon.

I am sorry, how hard is it to get an order right ? Especially when directions are written on the Bill.

I went here on two separate occasions and both times I had a problem. Each time I was ordering the beyond meat Burger and requested that there be no cheese, no mayonnaise to make it a true vegan sandwich and no tomato.

Each time there was either mayo or tomato. I was never given a receipt.

On one occasion I went back the the restaurant and the cashier told me 'it happens' and that they 'don't give receipts because no one ever takes them'....

Bad customer service and do not follow the law.

I got in contact with the manager who DID grant me a free sandwich.

However, I will never go...
