So, the food was amazing, the cocktail amazing, BUT the owner of the restaurant made pretty hard for me to come back. He definitely doesn’t know what boundaries means. My boyfriend was enjoying his meal and the owner came and suggested to put some garlic over the manioc but as my boyfriend is very shy, he takes a bit to answer. The owner started speaking all languages he knows, we’re Brazilians and we understood the first time, but we really didn’t have the time to answer about the freaking garlic. So the owner takes some garlic in our table and pour over the manioc, takes another plate that was going back to the kitchen, takes the garlic and pour over the manioc in front off us. Terrible doesn’t start to describe the situation! And to finish this incident, he mocked my boyfriend because he “tried” English, French and Portuguese and my boyfriend didn’t answer. This whole thing happened in less then a minute. . Continuing with the owner, he yells at his staff like it is funny, he is not respectful or kind. It made very clear the environment that those people are working. . The women’s restroom was dirty during our visit. . And to finish, all the smoke from the kitchen comes back at us. Really awful. : But yeah, food and...
Read moreI came here with both my parents hoping to eat a good piece of meat. And that’s exactly what we did.
We ordered a plate that included pork, beef, chicken and chorizo with beans and rice. It was very well done, everything was juicy and tasty. I loved it.
We also ordered Pastel with cheese and with meat. The cheese one was really good, we kept ordering them. The beef one on the other side I felt like it was missing spice. Maybe adding some rice or a sauce so it feels richer because it just felt like cooked ground beef with salt.
The Manga juice was delicious, exactly what I expected. Sweet and refreshing.
One of the workers came to our table and let us taste his special spicy sauce and it was very very good.
The ambiance felt good, like a family restaurant you would visit after and event or to celebrate something. The music selection was good too, everyone was laughing and having a good time. The tables could be a little more further from eachother thought.
Even if it’s a little expensive (20$/28$), I would recommend and I hope to come back cause it was delicious and if the food is delicious I don’t mind the...
Read moreOutstanding little restaurant. After reading so-so reviews for another Brazilian place we were going to try, we went here instead based on previous Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed.
For appetizers we had the calamari which was perfectly done in a spicy lime marinade, and the Brazilian cheese breads - I forget what they're called (bolinho de queijo?) which were melt in your mouth delicious (our almost 11yr old son loved these).
For the main course I had the XimXim, my wife had the Feijoada (traditional Brazilian stew w/ pork & beans) and our son had the Picanha steak. We had never had Brazilian before and were all delighted with our choices. The XimXim contained the most tender chicken I've ever had, and the sauce was delicious. The Feijoada was wonderfully savory, and our son declared the steak phenomenal (he shared a few bites and I have to agree with his assessment).
The owner/chef Brett is a super nice guy who went out of his way to make sure we understood what everything was and the best way to enjoy it. Can't recommend this place highly enough, and we'll certainly be back on our next trip...
