Usually the food is great, and many of those who work there are very kind and professional. I would go there to pickup the TooGoodToGo orders, which are a great deal and delicious. However, I am very irritated at the lack of respect some workers show; there have been many times that I have gone to pick up my pre-paid order, only for the store to be closed. If the pick up window time frame is from 7:30 pm to 8 pm, and I arrive at 7:50 and the store is closed, packed up and no lights on.... it is so disrespectful. The allotted time to pick up the food should be honoured. I went a few weeks ago, and it was 5 minutes before the end of the pickup time. Therefore, I am entitled to my food, and do not believe that I am being rude. The man at the counter was without a doubt, one of the most unpleasant, unwelcoming and disrespectful service workers I have ever met. This man looked at me visibly disgusted as he and his coworker were packing up the grills. I appreciate that they wanted to go home, but the disrespect and frankly abuse that was hurled at me by one of the coworkers is unacceptable. He told me to leave, he argued heatedly in a language I am not familiar with, and was arguing with his coworker. It seems like his coworker wanted to calm him down and to help me. He sighed, audibly groaned, gave me a dirty look and as he was aggressively throwing the watery leftover salads into a container I simply shook my head and walked out. I was not going to take that kind of abuse from someone for being 5 minutes before the cut off.
I would like the management of Amir to be attentive to the fact that... you have control over the timeframe. It is at the discretion of your management that the time frame for picking up TooGoodToGo orders are. If your workers wants to be out and home at a reasonable time (which is very fair), then instead of putting the pick up time at 8, maybe just do it 15 minutes or 30 minutes before you need to start packing up!!
It is ridiculous that the workers feel they can be snappy, rude, and abusive simply because they are too lazy to adjust the time. The workers have every right to want to pack up and close shop at the allocated time, just as I have the right to pick up food that I ALREADY PAID FOR at the allocated time.
The sighs, the dirty looks, the refusal to be respectful because they are annoyed that paying customers arrive DURING THE TIMEFRAME OF THE PICKUP and treat them abusively because they are annoyed at having to disturb their clean up time is not only unfair to customers, but to the workers.
Management needs to explain to the workers that they need to set meals aside for pickup instead of waiting to the last minute, and if they are working that shift then they also have a responsibility to provide food for those who have ALREADY PAID!
Or better yet, just make the pickup time 15 to 30 minutes before the workers need to clean up shop. So they don't have to be stressed, and I dont need to deal with grown men throwing tantrums and disrespecting me!
Unprofessional and frankly...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of encountering the most unprofessional and discourteous staff at Shwarma Restaurant. The experience I had while picking up my order was nothing short of a nightmare, leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth that had nothing to do with the food.
Upon entering the restaurant to collect my order, I was greeted by a staff member who seemed disinterested and aloof. I patiently waited for my turn, but instead of acknowledging my presence or offering any assistance, they continued chatting with a colleague, completely ignoring me as if I was invisible. It was evident that providing quality customer service was the last thing on their mind.
Finally, when I managed to grab their attention and inform them about my order, their attitude was far from friendly or accommodating. They displayed an astonishing lack of professionalism, making snide remarks and rolling their eyes as if my presence was an inconvenience. It felt as though I was a burden on their day, rather than a paying customer who deserved respect and courtesy.
To add insult to injury, the staff member exhibited a complete lack of knowledge about the things. When I asked a simple question, they responded with annoyance, giving vague and unhelpful answers. It was evident that they were either ill-informed or simply did not care enough to provide accurate information to...
Read moreWorst Amir in Quebec. This was my second time coming here hoping that maybe they changed from the first bad experience, but they did not, still terrible.
Both times the shish taouk wrap was cold, un-grilled, loosely wrapped and tasteless. The potatoes are also cold and dry, with very little taste that you usually get from basically any other Amir in Quebec, even the one in the Eatons center downtown is MUCH better. These guys don't know how to cook the food properly or even prepare it properly. Extremely disappointing and wont be coming back here, I'm surprised they're still in business but I cant imagine they will be for much longer. I would advise the owner to go and try an Amir at another location and compare his food, he will see the difference but I cant imagine they care because the food here as been terrible for at least 1-2...
