Amir — Restaurant in Montreal

TRUE REVIEW: Recently me and my mom had the worst experience at this Amir location. We went in and weren’t welcomed properly. The old men (who I think is the owner) took our order non-chalently. I took a potatoes garlic poutine and a plate. Very expensive mistake for how bad the food was. I swear the potatoes were solid as bricks plus the rice was old and cold. It was awful. In my poutine, I right away saw a long black hair that wasn’t mine as I wear the hijab. My mom told the owner about the food situation and he said “the potatoes are fresh but okay ill give you fresh” lying with an atitude to our face. When I also told him about the long black hair in my poutine, he (the old men) said word by word : “the luck you had for the potatoes being old and you having a long hair in your poutine is very small and I don’t believe it. You probably putted the hair in the poutine by yourself.” When I tried to explain it is not possible since I wear the hijab, he just gave me more attitude. He didn’t even offer to give me free food or a compensation. At the end, I wasted my 45$ since my poutine had solid brick potatoes and was old and had a very long black hair. The service is sooo bad. Nothing was good and we left feeling disgusted and he gave us an attitude till the end. We threw the food in the garbage infront of him and repeatedly told him the food and the service was horrible. He kept shouting “ So dont come back we don’t care” Never going there again nor is my family. Read other people that left bad reviews. Their opinion is true and valid. LITTLE DID YOU KNOW THEY ARE MY CLIENTS SO I KNOW WHO TO COMPLAIN TO ABOUT YOUR STORE. YOU PROBABLY LOOKED AT ME AND THOUGHT I WAS JUST ANYONE. I WILL TAKE ALL THE ACTIONS NECESSARY. I don't know who the old pos in this store thinks he is, he thinks of himself as some president of some cooperate company instead some small restaurant. competing with other restaurants in this area. I understand why I don't see alot of people in this place. Is because that old male there have a bad attitude and acts like he is doing you a favor, like he is giving the food for free. He is a disgusting old male with no self respect. I have reported him and what he did. Avoid this place and the food is not even as good as other Amir. The whole interaction by email was bizarre on your end and reply in the email didn't appear sincere at all. To make sure you do follow the rules, I'll be contacting the city of montreal about this and relevant bodies. You need to learn food safety is serious. Edit: It's not an accusation, it's a customer experience being relayed in the reviews. Get it right. The purpose of the reviews is to help businesses be aware to have employees get conform and be conscience. If I was a business, I'd appreciate honest, client feedback.

Went there for a trio shish toauk wrap. Employee comes out of a door from the back, watch on the wrist, no hair net and no gloves. Didn't bother washing his hands after emerging from the back. Makes my wrap, while doing that he touches the interact machine and other things, goes back to continue touching my food.
