Aroma Gourmet — Restaurant in Montreal

I don’t even know where to start. I ordered a chicken wrap and a poutine, and both were so bad it felt like a prank.

The chicken wrap? First of all, it disintegrated in my hands — like, actually fell apart before I could even finish unwrapping it. The chicken wasn’t grilled, seasoned, or even recognizable. It tasted like canned, rubbery filler — you know that weird texture that’s somehow dry and wet? Yeah, that. It was giving hospital cafeteria vibes at best.

As for the poutine — in Montreal, no less — it was a disgrace. Barely any gravy, dry fries, and sad little cheese curds that didn’t even try to melt. It was like someone described poutine to the chef and they just winged it.

The whole meal felt lazy, cheap, and thrown together. Definitely not worth the price, and absolutely not worth a second visit. I will definitely not be coming back. I highly disliked this place and I won’t...

Honestly it's pretty bad. Mediocre at best. If you are indoctrinated into Montreal style burgers then maybe you won't hate it, but yeah it's not great. Meat is good but bland and not well seasoned. Cooked very rare. It's like a very slightly better frit alours burger. If you ever lived out of Quebec it's not good. The fries are soft and soggy like a fish and chips fry. Not my thing. The curry mayo is good with then though, you just need to buy $4 worth to get through a large fries. Overall, honestly a burger and fries from like a Boston pizza will be a million times better and that's pretty mediocre already, and for half price you can get a burger and fries from l'hamburger or even uni burger that's way way better. It wasn't god awful but I'll never eat it again. So 3 stars is definitely generous. The restaurant is a cool vibe though, so...

What a lovely find in my neighborhood! The burger was freshly made, tasted like barbecue/ fire grilled. I had the one with avocado and I was pleasantly surprised with the flavours and spices chosen. The location is beautifully decorated and the staff is friendly and caring. I chose to eat my burger there because the music was great and the guy who could be the manager strikes a conversation with me and I was offered some fries on the house. Such a sweety!
