I work from here and often bring my laptop, I also try to pull friends here when they're willing to take a bit of a trip. I think I've maybe been here twenty or thirty times over the last three years. Much less with the pandemic. They have great beer that's pretty good for any particular taste, and their food is way above "typical bar fare." I do recommend the steak and fries, the portion is fairly small though but is usually prepared very well. The fried chicken is a larger portion dish and is a really great specialty of theirs. Service is good. No complaints but nothing standout either. Overall just a great neighborhood brewpub with good food.

I have been to this place with my sister, father, girlfriend and bestfriend. We shared a generous 3 plate for appetizers - scotch egg, salmon and veal tartar. Most of us had hamburgers, I had the beef pincet. The food was phenomenal! The service ... Can't forget, staff was awesome! Quick prompt amd well informed service. Staff knows the menu very well and is well versed in the beers they serve. The ambiance, the music was great... Not too loud... Was easy to keep a good conversation. No TVs.. Keeping the place social. 5star! I really hope you get to go and enjoy this place. Have fun!

It's a really nice spot when you live in the area. The beers are good crowd pleasers but special mention to the kitchen for an interesting take on the menu. We have classics for microbreweries such as burgers and tartares but, some dishes are more fun and creative. The octopus was cooked to perfection and I appreciate the freshness of the veggies complementing it. The menu changes seasons to seasons which is great. Service is sort of a gambling: sometimes caring and other times disinterested. The place is big and I enjoy the patio during summer.

Restating three stars: chicken is now essentially chicken fingers, still inadequately seasoned. Sauces help fill that gap but are still only okay. Service is good but kitchen is inflexible and it's off putting that sides are charged separately. You'll be guilted if there are two of you and you choose a table with 4 places.

Far better chicken to be had for much cheaper at Pollo Gustoso in Rosemont, but it's not a sit-down and definitely not a brewery.

Beer is good but on the hoppy side. I just wish they'd apply their vigor for beer to their dishes, as well. ––– Edit: downgrading my rating because I am now incredibly disappointed by their fried chicken. When it launched, it was actually seasoned and came de boned. It was the best on the island! Now? A couple of wings and maybe 2 breasts for $34 that taste only like flour? Who ruined our staple? ––– Previous review: Uncomplicated, unpretentious, clean place with quality beers (tap selection changing constantly) and excellent service for a great price. Perfect for finishing off a day of shopping in the plateau and, trust me, it's worth the detour if you're a few blocks down Mont-Royal. Ambiance is rustic/classy pub style. Haven't tried their food menu, but it looks and...

Went to Boswell for a work party, great variety of craft beer made on site. I chose the fried chicken as my meal. The chicken was hot and tender with a nice crusty batter. Served as chicken strips, it came with three different dipping sauces and a purple cabbage slaw. The slaw and chicken were really good, but I would have served it with a few fries as well. I can't personally comment on other dishes but a friend ordered the beef tartar and said it was not that good, lacked flavor, he was really disappointed. Another friend ordered the burger and questioned if it was well cooked, it did look a little rare, to me it looked small but did look good. The burger was served with a small side of fries. The place is quite dark but a few times I spotted a fruit fly which was not very appetizing. I have been before, I must say, it is a nice place to go for a few beers and have a small bite to eat. Really good if you like to try different beers or even if you find a...

I wish that I loved closer to this place so I could visit more often. The food was really excellent; I got the fried cheese curds, which were so much better and more interesting than I expected them to be, and while I was torn between the burger and the fish and chips, the people sitting next to me got exactly that, so to try something different I ordered a steak tartare. I'd never had one before but I very much enjoyed it. The service was fast and polite and while I server only spoke french, he was very easy to understand. The drink selection is also varied enough that you could have many return visits and not get close to trying everything. The friend I met there that night told me about all of the various activity nights that they hold and I felt anpang of envy that she got to take part in them. A strong recommendation...
