Bun Mam Ninh Kieu — Restaurant in Montreal

I just placed an order with skip. I got 4 banh mis, small soup, spring roll, bao and pho. My order was missing the small soup, spring roll, bao, 2 banh mis and one of the banh mis came cold and didn’t taste fresh and don’t think it was the one i ordered. The pho soup had hair in it and one of the vegetables had a weird taste of chemicals and veg were a bit too over cooked and there was not a lot of veg like in pictures I’ve seen here on google (no carrots or zucchini , just 2 big pieces of broccoli and some mushrooms and a few pieces of peppers). You’d think you’d want to give your customers who place big orders a nice experience. Very disappointed. I hardly ever give bad ratings. The one thing that was good was the fresh banh mi I received with fried tofu and vegetables and the bread was fresh, the pho broth also tasted good so it would have been a better experience if more sanitary measures were taken. Myself, my wife and a bus with 25 people wanted to experience Montreal dining on Easter weekend April 17. We had a few bahn mi places in mind and this one looked attractive. Before arriving there, it said they opened at 11am and when I called them they said they opened at 12pm. Myself and the other tourist killed time for an hour in the area exploring open restaurants. 12pm came my wife and I walked by and we see a man just standing at the counter saying no. We were confused, my wife decided to call and he said they were closed for the day. Very disappointing, especially when he said they would be opened and we wasted our time in the area when we could’ve been somewhere else. We were a total of 27 people starving and we were hoping to try this place. Because of this I have 0 hope on them and will not...

Not sure what happened here but earlier reviews and menu pictures mention an abundance of vegan options. I came here based on this review history and found a totally different menu with one sole vegan option presented :( Disregard all the mentions of this place being vegan friendly as it is no longer so.

We did stay and I ordered the only vegan option: a very token vegetable stir fry. I actually enjoyed it but for $17 the portion was much too small, only a large handful of vegetable pieces and a few strips of tofu. I left still hungry.

The service was (very) fast and friendly but unfortunately I won't be back as there are no vegan menu items and the portions are much too small. If you're not vegan maybe...
