I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! TLDR: therapeutic activity for all ages for a reasonable price. I was eyeing for this place for a while, and I regret not going sooner. We went here between co-workers. I choose to paint a 20oz mug. They make great handmade original gift for friends and family. All the staff member are knowledgeable of you have questions. They are helpful when you need help with the pointy thingy to make precise drawings because they get stuck often. You choose the ceramic first. The 20oz mug was 17$. You paint inside and out. There are directions on the table or on the their website. They also have all their ceramics available on their website. I would suggest you check them BEFORE coming to the cafe so you can prepare what do you actually need and color mixes in advance. For the place, there is no color limit you can put on your ceramic. Just make sure you put enough layers to get the result desired. Add the paint little by little because it's dry very quickly. They have warm drinks and finger foods. A little bit expensive, but convenient. I took a hot chocolate, the ceramic and a lot of fun for a low low price of 30$. Tips included. Can't wait to come back again and make another gift for my friends.

Very disappointed. Had gone to Ceramic Cafe a couple times before and never had these issues, maybe the waitress who took our table was new and didn’t know better, but 1) they made us pay for a ceramic that I picked out at the beginning but didn’t touch at all (previously they just wouldn’t charge you for it - and actually a few days later when I did the same with other friends this wasn’t an issue somehow: I had picked out 3 things, only painted 2, so they took off the 3rd item from the paper as they should). 2) the item I did paint, I got back chipped in multiple places, with the paint being see through in spots I know I went over 3 times. Maybe there was an accident and they dropped it, maybe the person handling it was a bit of a clutz, either way they should have disclosed the faults and given a refund. This is not the service and quality I expect. I feel scammed.

Awful experience and makes me question their business ethics. For context came here the first time and they told me to wait 3 hours. Almost made me think I was at the MUHC. I then had to make an appointment 2 weeks in advance. During the session everything with well. But when it came time to pick up the ceramic they quickly gave me the item and didn’t give me the chance to check the results. Once I got home I realized that they had taped the ceramic which led to the paint peeling off. As a result I gave them a call to see if they can rectify the situation, because at the end of the day this would be considered a manufacturing defect. Instead of trying to make things right, they had the audacity to just offer me credit for the next time. Now I’m down 50$, 5 hours of my life wasted and this was supposed to be a gift. Took my little cousins there, the painting part was fine, the issues I had were when I tried to pick them up a week later. I had noticed on my bill that they charged me for 2 pieces when we had done 1 as well as 3 hours studio time when we stayed for exactly two. I pointed this out to the women who was getting our pieces and she agreed and said I just have to go to the cash register and they would refund the errors they made, no issues with the service on her part, she was quite nice. But the women at the cash who was unsmiling and unfriendly from the start immediately denied they had made any errors, basically glared at me the entire time and said it was because we left at 3:55 when we arrived at 1:50....so basically 5 minutes, that’s what they charged me another hour for. Another employee came around to ask and she explained. That employee acknowledged it was only 5 minutes and then the cashier switched to French, they both shrugged and started laughing. So basically they just assumed I couldn’t understand them and thought it was professional to talk about me while I was standing right there. I told them quite frankly that being double charged for a ceramic piece that we didn’t paint and an additional charge for mere minutes was unacceptable and it was their mistake. I got another disgusted glare from the cashier before she stormed off and the other one processed the refunds. That woman service was absolutely disgusting, she single handedly made me never want to come back.

Edit: I'd like to add that the mug I made there cracked after i poured some hot water in it to make a cup of tea, it completely broke from the temp of the water (which was just your usual kettle water you use to make tea) so not only do they have atrocious service but they also have poor quality pieces that...

Was fun but certainly has its downsides for a visit that cost $112 for three medium sized pieces, two drinks, a lemon bread, and two people. It was packed with chaos on a Sunday night, lots of kids which was overwhelming but I should've expected. We were seated in the way back away from the kids birthday party which I appreciated. I noticed a lot of the employees were hanging out together in small groups chatting, except the ones behind the till, which in turn was frustrating when it took over 20 minutes for a latte and mocha to arrive at our table. I think they forgot because not until I asked our server where our drinks were is when they arrived minutes later. Because of the wait, we didn't bother with trying to order food. The ceramic tools were well-organized and in abundance. They have a good variety of glazes, stencils, pottery choices. I googled other ceramic cafes in Montreal and the price at Céramic Café doesn't seem worth it, there's a few places that charge $6-$8 for unlimited studio time to work on your piece, this place charged by the hour. My recommendation is to check out other cafes, this place has a good variety but they really gouge you...
